Great product good price and quality
4.0 out of 5 stars Needs Care to Work Correctly
Bought to cut multiple holes into 9mm MDF, and the hole saw has worked as required. Initially drilled small pilot hole at each point, and chamfered out to ensure accurate positioning of hole saw. I drilled both sides of each piece of MDF, so as not to rip the top surface, then used a router to smooth each hole.Points to note: needs a 13mm chuck and a fairly powerful drill to operate, I have an older 600W corded drill, and kept the speed as low as possible (unsure of RPM). The drill got very hot and so took probably 8 sessions to cut all holes.MDF clogs the saw rapidly, and once clogged, you are using friction to cut. This results in burning and no real progress; every few seconds, remove hole saw and clean blade (I used a spark-plug wire brush to good effect).Best part of 100 holes all cut and blade still pretty sharp. Noticed a slight nick in the blade of my saw (see image), but hasn't affected cutting.Overall, a good bit of kit, but needs TLC to get best out of it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super cutter
I was sceptical of this but it cut a perfect hole through the metal floor in my van in literally seconds! Couldn't recommend enough
5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool!!
Drilled my 80mm hole on the worktop without any problems. Works great!!
1.0 out of 5 stars It won't cut even soft wood.
The teeth on this item are not sharp. I have tried to cut a hole in a piece of soft wood, but it kept jamming and stopping my drill. I wasn't making the mistake of trying to go too quickly, the teeth got very hot and they looked like they were rounding over and going blunt. I returned the item for a refund.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does what it does just not what it says it does
Listed as having a cutting depth of 38mm which is the depth of the cutting head - but - this does not take into account the mount for the cutter or pilot drill.Useable cutting depth is actually 17mm before the mount hits the cutting surface.
