5.0 out of 5 stars A phenomenal mincer at a great price! Recommended by the professionals.
This is a fantastic mincer. It comes in a stylish package, ready to set up in a couple of minutes. I am using this machine for various applications, mincing beef and veal for burgers, making sausages, and kibbe. The unit itself is exactly as described, is robust and easily put together. I have used the same butcher for the last twenty years, and recently settled on mincing my own meat for various dishes. I showed the mincer to my butcher, who was extremely impressed with the 3000W motor, and the main components of the mincer. He told me that I had made a very wise choice when purchasing this machine, as it is solid enough to do anything I require of it, and will easily produce great results and last a long long time. It could not be simpler to set up. It is a joy to use. The motor purrs and the meat flows through easily and comes out perfectly ground. In my first grind, I used a coarse grinding plate, and ran through 5 kilos of chuck, 2 kilos of which was still partially frozen, but I did not notice any difference in the grind time of the raw and the partially frozen chuck. What a joy to see freshly ground beef sitting on my counter top, ready to be shaped into burgers and frozen down. I prepared a meal of freshly made cheeseburgers using my first grind, and everyone remarked on the tenderness of the beef. Ordinarily when making burgers that are thick using store bought ground beef, the burgers can come out quite tough and rubbery. These were tender and moist burgers, the best kind! So to sum up, it is a fantastic machine, it looks great, it assembles and disassembles easily and quickly, it is easy to clean, it looks great in the kitchen, and most importantly, it is powerful enough to handle anything you might want ground or turned into a sausage. Enjoy it when you buy one yourself, and happy grinding!!
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s fast!
Wonderful machine minced pork like a knife through butter. Got this to replace my old mincer which gave up the ghost after years of service. It used to take me ages to mince 5 kilos of pork shoulder this took just over 30 minutes. I also tried the sausage stuffer not expecting much but it made the job an absolute doddle.I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. When you see the way the item is packed you know it is going to be quality and it is and then some!👍🇬🇧
4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
It's not as powerful as I would like & it's very noisy but not bad for the price & it does do the job you want.
1.0 out of 5 stars Good enough for extensive home use. Died at 2nd use
The media could not be loaded. I bought it especially to prepare raw pet food and some occasional home use.For that sort of money it could be bit more sturdy. Housing is plastic and seems to be bit flimsy. Most of metal parts looks like aluminium but hopefully it will last long enough.Works rather well, first use and I've processed approx 45kg of all kind of meat for my dog including whole chicken wings but I wouldn't try to go through anything harder than wings.Overall- first use and seems to be good, helped enormously with quite a large batch of meat, so I'm happy.FOLLOW UP: 2nd use and it died!!! Metal part has broke off ( photos attached) .
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent .
You need to take your time putting this together, for some reason the booklet was not in the box and our Internet can be a bit ropey. I am not very McCoo minded so my first attempt to mince an onion failed to produce minced onion which gave me the clue that something was missing somewhere! I then found the star shaped blades so we were up and running after that. Very easy to work very easy to clean absolutely delighted with it highly recommended..
5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful machine.
The Duronic MG301 is a powerful, solid machine and minces beautifully. The machine was easy to set up and easy to clean using a bottle brush. I trimmed most of the fat/sinew off the pork loins to prevent any snags/blockages, and minced 1kg. at a time, giving the machine a rest as recommended and only using the pusher occassionally. I minced a total of 4kg. of meat, using the smallest grind plate, then bagged it up in smaller quantities for the freezer. Great for meatballs, meatloaf and burgers, at least I know what goes into my mince now. In shop-bought mince I have seen bits of ventricle and all manner of bits!Have not used the sausage of kibbe attachments yet. The machine fits in a low cupboard as it's quite heavy, but it is 10cm shorter than some machines, so not as awkward to handle.Have only used it once, but hope it serves us for many years.I would recommend this machine as it does the job well and is worth the expenditure.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent machine
I bought this mincer to process my own dog food for my large German Shepherd and I am very pleased with it. It copes with all that I throw in it and also the chicken wings I put through it last week. It is noisy but as this is the first one I have ever bought I have nothing to compare it against and I think they all make this noise as it isn't a quiet process. It comes apart easily and there are no fiddly bits to wash round, just a quick wash in warm soapy water and leave the metal to dry. I would recommend this machine.TIP: I put the washed parts in a warm oven for a few minutes to dry them completely before storing them away.
5.0 out of 5 stars It grindes chicken bones.
This is a great grinder, people have comented on the black residue. This is correct, I found two pieces (see photo) in three 1024g. Not a lot in my eyes and still better than commercial cat food. One more downside is the unscrewing after use. I have to ask my husband every time to help unscrew so I can clean it. Other than that it is a 5 for me. Easy to clean, it grindes bones, that is waht I wanted it for.
