Once the gloves have a little wear they are fit for purpose. The velcro needs removing as it's just a waste. If you need your finger just pull the thing back all the way. Fiddly bits of thumbnail size velcro just to bare a finger pad.

Bought these for my husband who absolutely loved them within the first week stitching came apart. Got in touch with seller who kindly sent out a new pair and within a couple of weeks same thing happened again both times on the thumbs
