5.0 out of 5 stars Works brilliantly
This is brilliant for making accurate cuts. The guide clamps onto your sheet material and you can cut a perfectly straight line. One thing I didn't realise is that there is a soft rubber edge to the guide. When you make your first cut, it cuts along the rubber. This is intentional as it calibrates the edge but it feels wrong when you do it! Just remember to make a trial cut first so you get the edge right and then you are ready to make accurate cuts. The only quibble with this is that sometimes you need both halves but for shorter cuts you just need one of them, but it's a hassle clamping the two halves together and then detaching them again. Ideally you would have a long 2.8m guide and a separate 1.4m guide so you wouldn't need to do this.
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy tracks for plunge saw
I have the same brand track saw and bought these to cut full panels.I know it feels like a lot of money and it is, but my view is that it is well worth it.The quality and accuracy I get with these I could not match otherwise. They are solid and allow you to cut straight for 2500mm (you need to leave the first 30cm or so free to put the plunge saw)You get also two clamps very usefull and solid, as well as two sliders that go underneath to joing the two 1400mm together. Obviously to join the tracks use a long spirit level or something else to make sure you get them right. It's very easy once you try a few times.I had to gently file the shap corners of the beginning and end of tracks before using them, to ease the process of getting the plunge saw in and out but that took two minutes it's no big deal.
4.0 out of 5 stars ST2800 - G2 track. First Impressions out of the box.
Well packaged. Tracks look well made. Fit together well with the self aligning cams. Tracks look straight. I will check them against a trusted straight edge to be sure. Not tried them yet for accuracy, still waiting for the saw to be delivered. All edges look well machined, no rough edges. Edge strips look in good order and clamps look ok, again not used them yet.The bag is pretty much useless. The rails are a very tight fit. Taking them in and out regularly may damage the edge strip. The Velcro, which runs along the outside of the bag, is not really strong enough to hold the flap closed. Which means, as soon as you lift the bag up with the weighty tracks inside, it splits open. Making the bag with a heavy duty zip would be a much better design. I may take mine to the local seamstress to get one sewn in. Overall, it offers no real protection for the rails. Maybe a padded snowboard bag would be better.
5.0 out of 5 stars A really good starter rail.
A really good starter rail. I bought this with the evolutions rail/circular saw to cut some cabinet fronts and, with an 80 tooth blade they have come out brilliantly
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value
After a lot of research on compatibility with my Festool TS55 I decided that as I needed to cut sheets, the occasional door and bit of cabinet work and without any secondhand rails about, I concluded that two 1400mm rails were the way forward. As a keen diyer I couldn’t justify the cost of Festool rails which would set me back around £185 for the rails alone. These rails are a bargain - no others come close to rails, clamps and bag for this sort of money. If I want to customise a little I will eventually replace the clamps for quick clamps and the various strips for Makita or Festool, as there isn’t a huge difference in cost for the consumables.I have seen the reviews mention the poor quality of the clamps but any fool knows you should always have a sacrificial packer between any metal clamp and a finished workpiece. Even the softer faces clamps can cause denting or damage, so the clamps are perfectly useable and if I get fed up with them I will upgrade for better ones when the wife is not looking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Must have piece of kit
Quoted £875 to hang 7 doors so bought this plus the saw and saw horses for less than £200. Made trimming the doors down a piece of cake(set up right can also be used as a power planner). All doors hung in 2 days so nearly £700 better off and a useful tool as well
5.0 out of 5 stars Saw track
Easy to set up just got to be careful not to over tighten the grub screws or they will push through the track
3.0 out of 5 stars Questionable claims
Out of the box, one of the plastic strips designed for smooth riding of the saw base was partially detached and there was no hex wrench/allen key for tightening the extension jointing strips. Then I found that neither of my Makita saws fitted the track, nor did my Bosch, nor my Hitachi ..... you'd think, from the advertising blurb that this would be a given - but no.However, what I wanted was an aluminium straight edge at a reasonable price and this is what I got with this tool. All I needed to do was modify it to work with one of my saws - and I selected the big Bosch as my tracksaw of choice.Securing the detached low-friction band was a simple matter of applying a hot air gun to soften the adhesive and adding a little of my own. The bigger problem was in making the business edge of the track line up with my saw. Fortunately, I knew I could cut aluminium accurately the same as a piece of wood, so setting up the Bosch saw with the track securely bolted up and clamped tightly, I carefully set the saw to a 1/4" cut and SLOWLY ran it the full length of the track wearing protective goggles and gloves. The aluminium track cut perfectly cleanly and the result was a perfectly aligned working edge matched to the cut of that saw and a gentle de-burring job with some 600 wet-&-dry, after cutting, gave me a polished finish that wouldn't damage my workpieces. The track now works perfectly - but would I buy it again? Not if I could find one that fitted my saws out of the box, no. But it now works and works well.

Very nice set of Festool compatible rails, excellent value for money
Very nice set of Festool compatible rails, Excellent value for money. As it comes with lots of accoires. The only downside is that the fit of my festool tracksaw (thumbwheel) is different on these tracks than the original ones.So each time I switch tracks I need to adjust them to get a good playless fit.
Super rail universel
