    This appears to be a pretty good replacement for the Samsung OEM filter cartridge.Whilst the overall length is the same as the Samsung, as you can see from the photos the "body" which contains the media is not quite the same length (slightly shorter) as the Samsung but it is very close. However, they appear to be the same size other than that.Fitting is very straight forward.MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE WATER OFF TO THE FRIDGE AND DE-PRESSURIZE THE LINE BEFORE REMOVING THE OLD FILTER. If you don't you could damage the seals and end up with a leak!!To fit new filter:1. Turn the water off before it goes into the fridge via the isolation valve (which should have fitted);2. Place a cup or glass under the water dispenser in the fridge and fill the cup/glass until the water flow stops;3. Once water stops flowing. the line and filter are de-pressurized and you can then remove the old filter;To do this, twist the filter (anticlockwise in my case) holding the little handle and gently pull towards you. I found that it need to be rotated around about 180 degrees to be removed.4. Fit new filter;5. Turn water back on;6. Check for leaks!!7. Place cup/glass under water dispenser and purge (get the air out) of the line. The water will spit as the air is purged out;8. Then, run approx. 8 pitchers of water through before use. This is the recommendation from manufacturer;9 CHECK FOR LEAKS!!!10. Reset the filter monitor if you fridge has one or use the date stickers provided to remind you when to change the filter.I can't comment on longevity as I have only just replaced it but will update this review if the replacement filter doesn't last for 6 months.The final point is that this filter does appear to do what it claims as the filtered water does have a noticeably better taste than tap water.

    Avoid this product. I bought a double pack and started to notice that the ice maker slowly stopped making the ice cubes. So, I swapped the filter over with the other from the pack, but eventually the ice maker stopped making ice all together. I’ve just purchased a Samsung filter and installed this. I instantly heard the water fill the trays and it’s now working fine.I’d like to get my money back, but there is no option for me to contact Bolo. Only the supplier.
