5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job.
Of all the tools in my workshop, the one I dislike using most is the hand-held circular saw. However, I needed to cut up several full 8 x 4 sheets of plywood accurately and having had good service from an big Evolution compound mitre saw, I decided on this one to replace my rusty old wreck. It was also a very good price.I am impressed. It cuts 19 mm ply like a hot knife through butter, with very little tear out and no burning. The track works well, once you figure it out, but is rather short. A tiny drop of WD 40 helps the saw slide much better. I would like to add another three sections, but the price for the track alone is ridiculous - about the same as the saw + track. I even used the saw to follow a line without any other aids and it was easy to keep on track. The trick is to make sure your workpiece is well supported and clamped. This isn't a toy and will remove your fingers in a heartbeat if it gets out of control so make sure nothing can shift during - or after - the cut.Highly recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great track saw
This has improved the accuracy of my project tenfold!Very good track saw, feels solid and has a quite a bit of weight to it. Takes very little practice to get really good results, I bought the 2x1.4m tracks alongside it and I can cut panels so accurately now it's brilliant! It's powerful enough I would say, starts to struggle if you push too hard on 19mm osb but that could also be a matter of what disc you have, I have used the original one for everything so maybe that is why. It has cut fine nevertheless, just go a tad slower and it will be fine.I am really happy with this purchase and definitely recommend

Good tool for most light timber jobsWould be better if it came in a hard plastic case.

Well made saw for the price, used it for cutting decking, done the job fine
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome little saw
I had 2 doors to shave, on account of having just fitted a new carpet. I used my "trusty" Ryobi cordless for the first one and ended with a fit of rage and a butchered door. The saw fought me all the way so I decided that I wouldn't repeat it and instead replace the saw. I already have an Evolution mitre saw that, although very well used, gives excellent results every time. The architrave for the same room is simply perfect.Anyway, back to the circular saw. It gave a perfect cut on the bottom of the door, even slicing effortlessly through some steel (cue sparks) that shouldn't have been there. No blowout on the top too. So, yeah, full marks. Would thoroughly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a novice DIYer
Talking as a novice DIYer: I got this to assist me in making some structures for my garden. A chicken shelter and also a chicken run. Also with a view of using it to cut fence posts to size in the future when I replace all my fencing.I couldn't be more please with this. I was daunted by it as it was my first major power tool purchase beyond a drill. But I took to it really well and got to grips with it.It really is powerful and accurate. It is simple to change the angle.I love the handles. Coated in rubberised material really aids my grip and that combined with the ergonomic positioning really helps me hold and use it confidently.I like how easy it is to replace the blade by always having the correct Allen key, which is conveniently to hand by being slid and stored into the handle. The only thing I do not like about it is the circular saw blade had orangey yellow print on it, which obviously gets distorted after use but due to the colour it gives the appearance of rust. Change the print to green or blue!I'm really please with this and glad I spent a bit extra and went for the top of my budget. I could have got a circular saw cheaper but I doubt I'd have been as pleased with it.I haven't used the guide rail yet but I will be to cut some board when I make a workbench for my garage. Its a nice extra that will come in handy. It looks strong and robust. My carpenter friend who works on listed and historical buildings, had a look at this and said it was a good bit of kit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Value
Very happy with my purchase. I'm only an occasional diyer so don't know how it would stand up to everyday use but I can't fault it.Solidly built, blade easy to change, easy to make adjustments to depth and angle. The bonus with this is the guide rails which were great to use, would be better if provided guide rail clamps but I managed without them.It is quite heavy but when you are sliding it along the guide rail you wouldn't notice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for the home DIY'er
Being new to circular saws I was torn being spending double on more well known brand and saving some money on a tool that would get limited use. After doing some research on forums and watching reviews online I decided to go with this Evolution saw. Despite many tradesmen claiming they wouldn't touch anything that wasn't a dewalt. It's been easy and reliable to cut through both MDF and thick sleepers without any issue. Perfect for my use case.Pros:InexpensiveEasy to use for amateur home DIY'erHas the essential safety features you would hope forCons:Instructions are not the clearest, but nothing a YouTube video couldn't help with
Sega circolare evolution
Ottimo prodotto oltre le mie aspettative molto robusta e solida unica pecca che le guide sono senza morsetti e non vanno bene quelli normali ma per il resto la ricomprerei ancora
Great saw
The addition of the rails makes here a big difference. I bought extra longer rails and it cuts so clean and straight! Great price too.
Good value for money
Worth buying this for the price - as described it works well - bought 220V - and it serves the purpose -
Great! - just what I wanted :-)
A good product from a reputable seller :-)
Il binario sembra c'è ma non c'è
Sega funziona perfettisimo, lama universale. Ma non ci sono i morsetti per fissare la guida. Se usiamo quelli rapidi non fanno passare il motore della sega. Quindi o da cercare i morsetti o comprare un'altra guida da 1400 mm che fa spendere ancora altri 65 euro
