5.0 out of 5 stars Works fine
Product works fine. A biggish flame but first time I’ve used this kind of wick and that may be normal.
5.0 out of 5 stars Burn nicely with a little crackling sound
These are great for my candle making, they burn nicely and make a little crackling sound. Mostly they fit perfectly into the little metal base which I stick onto the bottom of the candle container, one or two are sometimes a little thin and I occasionally need to double up to get them to be snug in the holder but this is rare
4.0 out of 5 stars Great wicks and will be ordering more!
These wicks are excellent and burn really nicely. I would have liked a bit more 'crackle' as they burn, but they do produce a nice flickering flame.I used these wicks with soy wax in containers (not for pillar candles). Please ensure you soak these wicks in oil, before setting in your candles. The oil will ensure the wick burns (otherwise you risk the wick burning out before a pool of molten wax has been created).I read some comments before, talking about doubling up your wick. I done this with my first batch of candles and in a container of 3 inches diameter or less it is definitely not needed! I almost burnt the house down as the flame was so big, your candle will also burn out really quickly! I would guess people have doubled-up their wicks when they haven't soaked them in oil. I would only recommend doubling up the wick if you have a container wider than 4 inch across, as this extra flame will ensure all the top layer of wax melts and you don't get 'tunneling' as it burns down.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, won’t disappoint
Good product! The wick are burning well with a lovely crackling sound. They are easy and quick to lit and the little metal stall coming with it was sturdy enough so it didn’t move much when I poured the wax.I didn’t need to double up the wick for small 100g candles. I also didn’t need to soak them in oil (I used natural soy wax) despite some reviews saying so. Overall very happy with the product, giving a very premium look to my candles.
5.0 out of 5 stars They really do work / crackle
The media could not be loaded. I have made two beeswax candles in tins so far. One with one double wick and one with two single wicks. I have soaked the wooden wicks overnight in avocado oil and they work really good. You also need to trim the wicks in an angle, really really short. I have not struggled to relight them yet, but one tip I got was to remove the black ashes to relight the wick again. The one with the double wick had really high flames, especially in the beginning. The other with two single wicks didn't have huge flames. Still not sure what I prefer. But they still crackle. Very pleased.
1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish!
The media could not be loaded. Tried making a few candles with these wicks now and always the same outcome! Barely burn, and causes bad tunnelling in the candles so wasting over 50% of the wax. Shouldn’t be allowed to sell them. In my opinion you are robbing people! Your lucky to even get one star.
3.0 out of 5 stars Maybe they work for some candles
I have soaked in oil, and made 100% soy wax candles. The flames are so small that it doesn’t fully melt the wax, and only melts about 4cm diameter causing bad tunnelling in most candle sizes.Wish I had just used standard basic wicks!
5.0 out of 5 stars Candle wicks
Good value for your money good product
Finally a wooden wick that crackles and burns well
I never write reviews, so this is serious. These wicks are amazing!!! They crackle, I don’t need two of them with my natural wax and they burn like a charm. I love them!
Stoppini in legno perfetti
Ottima resa nella bruciatura
Mejor calidad precio
