5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Practical Product
Perfect for a whole array of situations & emergencies for example: Camping, Boot Of Car, Hiking/Trekking, First Aid Kits, The Emergency Services, Community Centres, Dr's Surgeries & for getting genuinely lost during a Long Walk in the wild & so on & so on.I personally put one of these in my large Molle pouch along with a torch, a UK legal survival knife, a good length of paracord for shelter building amongst other things, a compass, a small radio, a flint/strike as I often go long distance walking & I often decide there & then that I'll sleep in a quiet secluded & unused natural area away from crowds, technology & the hassle of modern times for the night if I find an alright place for it, with no mobile phone, nothing but the stars & thought. Now depending on the season the weather can change dramatically & it does at night no matter what the season so one of these Bivvies that are incredibly small & light to carry can be very very useful, sometimes a real lifesaver! They certainly keep you dry & warmer so really what more can you ask for? The whistle is an added bonus for a real emergency especially if you're genuinely missing/lost as it'll draw attention your way & it's a first for me as I've never had one with a whistle attached before & the price tag here is very respectable for what you get.Fast delivery with this too, I ordered say 7-8pm & it was here around 3pm the next day, "It's All Good" as they say.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
Great bang for buckA must have if there is a risk you might get stuck & have to spend the night outdoorIt is so small & compact. Worth every penny to be in my hiking backpackIt really made a difference but I only used it for 4 hours in combination with a sturdy compact blow up hiking matrass, hat & neck protecter ( essential imo bc your head is not covered & should stay outside regarding poisture control ). The tempreture was around 13 degrees celcius. I enjoyed it. The only minus was to fold it up & get it back in the cover. Not easy & it slightly stuck out of the cover when I was done. A slightly bigger bag / cover would have been nice but not essential.
4.0 out of 5 stars Safety first
Hopefully will not have to use this. It’s small and light enough to drop into a day sack without having to take anything else out. Fits into the bottom of hydration pack so again have one while out mountain biking as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great print and quality
Very good and useful product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very compact and light.
Bought this as an emergency item for wilderness camping trips to Scotland. The weather can change so quickly it's reassuring to have this. Fits in a mug and weighs next to nothing.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good enough for when you need them
I bought these to keep in my car in case of an emergency. I’ve opened one up and the size is enough for anyone in the family to use. Pouring water over it to see if it was waterproof didn’t disappoint. My only qualm is that the whistle just randomly came apart on me. Very cheap construction and not very loud.
5.0 out of 5 stars light tough
multiple uses for camping. seems quite tearproof . reusable
4.0 out of 5 stars It gets really damp inside
This item is very lightweight. I was expecting it to be a bit tougher. I took it out last night for a trial. It was very warm inside and got to sleep quite easily. But after an hour or so, I woke up and it was completely sodden inside, while it was dry outside. I can only assume this was from my sweat. But the problem is, it then became cold and wet inside. In the end, I had to ditch it for my sleeping bag. I'm glad I had a backup, because the rest of the night would have been miserable stuck with this.
Indispensable
