5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight travel tripod that suits me
There are four questions to ask yourself before buying a tripod?1) Is it in your budget?2) Is it the right height for you (without extending the centre column) to see through the viewfinder of your camera or rear screen without crouching or standing on your toes?3) Does it have the load capacity to carry your gear (your camera and any long lenses)?4) How are you going to use the tripod (on a hike/climbing mountains or just at home/in the garden or a few yards from your car)? Lightweight is best for hikes but something heavier and cheaper would be OK for home or near your car.For me this tripod was YES to the first three questions and for my hikes its Lightweight was a YES to the fourth. I would strongly recommend the carbon fibre (7C) version rather than the aluminum one (7A) for this very reason and it folds up nicely for carrying.I also like the Arca Swiss compatible ball head for simplicity of use, security and its wider choice of available L brackets. It would be nice if the ball head had a friction adjustment, but at this price I cannot really complain. The twist grips are best only turned a fraction over a quarter of a turn on releasing the legs otherwise its easy to drop/lose a section.if you need to use it to get ground level photographs then you will need to check the specifications to see that it meets your needsOverall for the price the tripod is extremely well made and comes with a six year warranty. Finally the ability to convert it to a monopod is a nice touch. What's not to like!
5.0 out of 5 stars Sirui 5C travel tripod is a bliss
This is a review for Sirui 5c travel tripod.I am extremely surprised at how compact and lightweight this tripod is. It fits neatly into my small Bolo Basics camera bag. This is the first tripod to actually fit inside it.The tripod is extremely light weight and uses a screw lock and not a latch lock. This is my first tripod with this locking system. Gets a little getting used to for me. The tripod has a rubber base and hence you don't end up touching the freezing end of the tripod when shooting in cold weather.Because the tripod is pretty light, remember use some weight to support the tripod in windy conditions. I experienced this while attempting to shoot the northern lights in Iceland. It was hard to get steady shots in extremely windy conditions without some weight pulling the laptop down to the floor. The mount adapter that has to be attached to the camera to get it on the tripod needs a screwdriver or a multitool to tighten it up. This means you better yourself one of those SmallRig tools to carry along with you. They do supply a Allen Key or a hex key whichever name you prefer with the package. The rucksack like case that comes with the tripod is not padded. I generally prefer photography equipment cases to be padded just for some extra protection but lacking this out of the box, I decided to try putting it inside the camera bag and to my surprise it actually fit!I would totally recommend this tripod to anyone who wants a travel companion tripod. Absolutely priceless piece of kit. The height adjustment being so flexible you can go pretty low and about upto 5ft 4in or so high. I guess for travel that is perfectly acceptable! It also supports cameras upto 10kg if I am not wrong. So what are you waiting for? Try it for yourself.
4.0 out of 5 stars Light but unstable
Very lightweight tripod, folds up very small and fits easily into the side pocket of a backpack. The best tripod is the one you actually bring with you, right? I used to leave mine at home because I didn't want to carry the extra weight. This one doesn't weigh my down, but it does compromise on sturdiness. Lots of camera shake when using a mirrorless and a long lens with even just a little bit of wind, however absolutely fine for my lightweight combo of Sony A7 + Tamron 17-28mm. I haven't tried weighing it down though, so don't know whether that would help at all for any heavier loads. I'd say it's a brilliant tripod for using with a mirrorless setup in nice weather.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Had my eye on this one for a few weeks but wasn't sure because of the cost. But can report that it's worth every penny. Absolute beast of a travel tripod. So easy and smooth to use and stable enough for my a7c ii. Haven't used outdoors yet but used for self taping and it's been a dream. Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal travel tripod
Was looking for a lightweight tripod to take on my travels and came across this one during my research.... looked ideal for what i wanted......After making my decision to buy it was lucky enough to spot it was being offered with a time limited 20% off voucher on Bolo so managed to get it for the same price as the aluminium version....Delivery was very quick, arrived within 36 hours of ordering.Impressions..... lightweight, very compact and definitely strong enough for my Nikon with a telephoto lens....
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality travel tripod
Good quality, travel tripod that is light and compact
5.0 out of 5 stars There really light weight and easy to carry around
I've been using them all summer for macro with an eos r6 with macro lenses from rf 35 mm to a sigma 150 mm and now I'm using them with my 11 to 60mm spotter for bird watching.
4.0 out of 5 stars A lightweight and easy to use tripod.
The main attraction for this was its weight. Very light compared to the others I have so ideal taking it when going hillwalking etc. It’s also fairly easy to setup, just unscrew legs and adjust to the height you’re looking to set it to. It also seems quite sturdy, although obviously because of it weight it needs extra weight attached to it to keep it steady (I hooked my camera bag underneath). It says it supports up to 4KG, although I think that is the definite max as with my d7500 and 70-200 lens (weighing in at 2.9 KG) it did not feel as sturdy as my other ‘heavy duty’ tripods.A great tripod at a great price. Only giving it 4 out of 5 as I’m not sure how strong it actually is, and so if it will last... only time will tell.
Me encanta!!!
Great tripod which can quickly be employed as monopod.
Disclosure: not a pro. Intermediate photo skills. Grew up on the Olympus OM2 system with multiple lenses, currently using the Olympus OM-5 system.Bought this as a more flexible alternative to the heavier tripod I already had. This provides great stability and the weight is lightweight enough for my needs. I often use just the monopod feature and find it's quite stable for the quick shots I am taking.Haven't had occasion to use the stainless steel foot spikes, the rubber feet have been suited to my needs so far. I also don't know whether this would be a suitable tripod for larger telephoto lenses.Nicely compact and I believe it's well worth the money. Quality is very good. Recommended for hiking and travelling.
Suuper

Great travel tripod
This is my second Sirui tripod. I bought this one after loosing the first. If I lose this one I am buying it again!- The Arca plate works with other standard accessories, like phone holders. this one mounts directly to the ball head without the plate: https://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B08TGQDZPV/- Lightweight, easy to pack wherever you go. We carry this in our car when traveling and often take it on short hikes.- Relatively easy to pop up and down. I have learned to twist all the knobs at once when collapsed and quickly twist the others when extended. It is not the fastest tripod to fold up, but is not bad at all.- Enough range for common tasks. I carry it for a family selfie tripod. A great balance between folded size and extended height.- Twist locks never go out of adjustment, even though they may take a split second longer.- Nice little ball head for lighter loads- Has the video movement just below the ball to allow fluid 360 degree panning.- Probably strong enough for light SLR setups. I would not put a really heavy camera or huge lens on it. Works fine for most consumer grade setups.- Comes with a very usable bag and strap.- The only negative is sometimes the head comes loose. A quick twist fixes it.Overall this is a great value for the quality you are getting. I believe this is the sweet spot for travel tripods. I own cheaper options that are poorly built, and there are far more expensive options, but this is lightweight yet well built tripod at a reasonable cost.
