I recently tried the Sondiko Blow Torch S400, and here's my honest take on it:Pros:Versatility: The torch is incredibly versatile, suitable for various kitchen tasks like caramelizing sugar on desserts, searing meats, or even lighting up a barbecue.Safety Features: The safety lock and adjustable flame control add an extra layer of safety, giving peace of mind while using the torch.Easy to Use: The torch is user-friendly and fits all butane tanks, making it convenient to use without any hassle.Sturdy Build: The construction feels solid and durable, ensuring it can withstand regular use in the kitchen.Cons:Butane Gas Not Included: While this might seem obvious, it's worth mentioning that the butane gas needed to operate the torch is not included, so you'll need to purchase it separately.Learning Curve: For those new to using blow torches, there might be a slight learning curve in getting the flame intensity and angle just right for different tasks.Overall, the Sondiko Blow Torch S400 is a reliable kitchen tool that performs well for a variety of culinary tasks. 5.0 out of 5 stars Smart little burner for cooking
This is smart & easy to use. Not filled with gas when delivered (for safety reasons) but a canister of cigarette lighter gas is inky just over £2. Great for crème brûlée!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great device
I use this blowtorch daily, and it’s brilliant! It has a strong flame that melts cheese easily with no fuss. Super easy to refill too. No complaints at all—great product!

I think it’s good and works well
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Good little blow torch. Ideal for culinary use. Feels solid and reasonable price. Filled with butane easily. No issues so far.
Great little torch
Very nice little butane torch, works great for starting camp fire or propane burners. Doesn’t work well for soldering as the flame is too big even on low.Overall really like it, great buy!
Great Tool for Home Chefs and DIYers!
I’ve been using this Butane Torch for a while now, and it’s incredibly handy and fun to use! It’s powerful and provides a consistent, controlled flame, which makes it perfect for caramelizing sugar on crème brûlée, searing meats, and even adding a smoky touch to cocktails. I also like using it for small DIY projects—it’s versatile beyond just cooking! The torch is lightweight and has an ergonomic design, making it easy to hold and control. The adjustable flame feature lets me change the intensity depending on what I’m working on. It’s also really easy to refill with standard butane canisters, and a full tank lasts quite a while. The safety lock is a great touch, especially if you have kids around, but it’s also simple enough for quick use. Overall, this torch is a fantastic addition to my kitchen and toolbox, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to elevate their cooking or craft game!
Works great
Very easy to use you can adjust the level of the flame. It’s like having a miniature flamethrower.Great for starting fires highly recommended
Flame on!
Use this mostly to hear up my charcoal grill and sear meats. No complaints. Randomly I'll have to turn the gas on and off for the igniter to set a flame, but nothing stopping me from getting the flame I need. I sometimes use for weeds between my patio stones and wood in my fire pit as well, which has worked great too.
Actually Perfect
Tl;dr: Buy the torch. You won't regret it.Let me start by saying that as someone with joint issues and chronic pain, torches are both a major pain in the ass to use but also a necessary tool if I want to medicate myself as efficiently as possible. So, a quick list of pros and cons from someone who struggles to use these damn things.Pros:- The button is easy to push with one hand once unlocked.- Locking the button in place only takes the slightest shift, and I've yet to fail in doing it with one hand.- It refills fast and the tank lasts; so far, I'm on four days of continuous use with no refills yet.- You don't need it cranked all the way up to get a really good, hot flame.- Very sturdy base, difficult to knock over.- Bonus: It came with tools to empty out the tank before refilling AND a nozzle to use on butane cans with a short spout. Honestly, it gets an extra star just for this because I don't have to hunt for a screwdriver or pin anymore!Cons:- It's a little heavier than most torches, but not by a drastic amount. Not a huge deal since the base is solid enough that I can set it down to use if I need to (it's just inconvenient to do is all)- The usual concerns with a simple torch - none of which I've had to face yet, but frankly, this is about all I have for negatives. In fairness, this is my first week with it, so I can't speak on how well it holds up over time. However, if it's anything like similar torches I've had in the past (and frankly, it seems better so far), then I have no doubt I'll get a good long bit of use out of it until the igniter or something finally gives out. If it dies fast, I'll be sure to update this review, but if you see no updates, then the torch is still running like gold!
