I got recommended this model a lot, and I have to say it was a solid and hassle-free choice. Just plug it in and it plays blu rays no problem. Haven’t tried it on dvds yet though. Slim and comes with the cable to link it to my laptop.

Unit is nice and slim however it is slower than a desktop drive and can be a little noisy when initialising a disk. However this is to be expected and is common with slim drives. Overall I am very happy.Unit works great out of the box for MKV. For 4k playback you need to make sure your setup is fully compatible.Would highly recommend at around the £90 mark, especially as it has official 4k disk playback support.Unit comes with player, usb c cable and adapter, 25gb blank disk and software package. Once again a bargain for the price

Unit claims to play 4k movies however when attempting play UHD disc states error unsupported media in drive.Avoid

Works perfectly out of the box, I tested it on Debian 12.5 and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K UHD Blu-rays, all worked immediately with MakeMKV and VLC media player. I did not need the software disc that came with it, but that might be due to being on Linux so if you are on windows ymmv. The cable it comes with is a little short, so you might want to use one of your own if you need a bit more length, and it comes with a type-c to type-a adapter if you have a usb-c port on your device (plug the adapter into your device not the drive else it will likely not work). The image on the Bolo page shows a (presumable dc 12v?) barrel jack on the pack, though as shown here [see attachment], it is not there on the actual product and the drive en entirely powered by the usb-c port. Works very well from what I have tested and the free 25GB blank blu ray disc is comes with is a nice bonus

I loved this drive so much I bought a second one after running the first into the ground. I used the first to back up a huge DVD and Blu-ray collection, so given how temperamental some of these devices can be you can rest assured that this one can go through about 2000 discs before the laser will finally go "that's enough, mate" and start struggling to read the data – and that's going full speed, reading every byte on each of them. If you're only using it to watch DVDs or Blu-rays then it'll likely last a lot longer.With the right software it can also back up 4K UHD Blu-ray discs, so it really is a superb drive for the money.
Rebranded Pioneer drive, and that's a good thing!
It's actually a Pioneer drive with the 1.14 firmware with LibreDrive support for making Fair Use backup copies. Works great for 1080p and 4K Blu-Ray discs.Comes with the USB 3.0 C-to-A wire but you can use a USB-C (or even Thunderbolt) cable with it. Just make sure that your cable is USB 3.0 for maximum speed and power delivery.

4K UHD
Ładny , nowy nie otwierany 🤫. Nagrywan teraz każda paczkę jak ja otwieram, tak dla ..Ale do rzeczy , czyta płyty UHD, niestety płyta z owym oprogramowaniem to jakaś pomyłka . Płyta jest porysowana , mimo tego powinna być czytelna . Producent chyba kupił odpady i wcisnął jako pełnowartościowy dysk instalacyjny . Samo Nero start kilka mega kopiowało się kilka minut z prędkością internetu z przed 20 lat . Udało sie wyodrębnić pliki Nero ale co z tego jak nie ściąga plików dodatkowych z serwera Nero .Dodatkowa płyta bd 25GB w sumie jest zbyteczna , nie akceptuje nadruku.Wadą jest bądź zaletą sami oceńcie , napęd nie jest wspierany przez koderów z mainlandu ze stajni dvdfab. Innym tego typu aps jest wspierany i da się coś z nim robić . No szkoda raczej . Obudowa z aluminium szczotkowanego, pod czarny kolor . Kabel usb-c do A oraz przejściówka na C.. Nie testowałem jeszcze wypalania . W środku jest napęd Pioneer.
