5.0 out of 5 stars Makes short work of cranking a 1000cc V-twin motorcycle...
I bought this to primarily use with my Aprilia RSV1000... an old Italian 1000cc V-twin motorcycle renowned for starting issues in cold weather unless your battery is perfect (and I have a Noco Genius10 looking after the admittedly pretty old AGM one on this) and/or that you use the bike frequently. To be fair, this is overkill for this application given its claims to be able to crank an engine six times the size. And so it would prove. Every time I have left the bike for a couple of weeks out in the cold weather and it has refused to start under its own steam... I plug this in (using the highly recommended - if a bit expensive - Noco GBC007 cable if you also use a Noco Genius charger... but a Noco GBC002 will do if you don't) and as sure as eggs are eggs, it will start... even on those horrible 'wide open throttle' long cranking starts, this thing does the job easily. There appears to be way more than enough cranking amps available as the starter spins fast and long and the engine really doesn't have a choice but to fire.As I said, it may well be overkill for this and it's likely that the bike isn't really testing this at all... but in this application, this guarantees a started motorcycle. From fully charged, I've used it maybe a dozen times and it's still showing a green charged indicator so it's definitely not really being challenged. On a 3 litre diesel, probably a different story.Hard not to recommend it though. Easy to use. Compact. Looks the part. Starts the engine. Job done.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed
This is a great tool to have handy , my car battery went flat...i tried to jumpstart it off a fully charged 95ah lead battery i had in the garage...and it really struggled! i even tried a second battery. unsure why but i just thought il get one of these as i have an automatic its always worried me.I intentionally drained my car battery totally flat till the point the door couldnt unlock and then clipped this on...and it started no issue. It took 5 or 6 cranks but it got there in the end on the first go. and all this and the battery level didn't move off 4 bar aswell so it probably has another 4 or 5 cranks in it at least.Used on a audi a5 2.0 b9 2017 car
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
This little machine is fab.Charged it up,put ot on car on battery that was completely flat and it started straight away. All motorists should have one.Yes jump leads do the same thing with a jump start from another car but this product is so much easier.5 out of 5 from me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Compact and effective
I’d highly recommend this product if you’ve got a habit of running your battery out from forget to unplug your phone charger in car or leave your lights on for example. But in a motor home or camping it’s invaluable. Small compact and very easy to use - you won’t get stranded. Takes up hardly any room. Get the case that goes with it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Performs admirably
Got this and, when my Jeep's relatively new battery recently died in cold weather, this thing managed to turn the engine and sustain it, despite my forgetting to reset idle. Once reset, I used this again and it turned the 3.7L V6 lump again. Afterwards, checked the levels and was only half-used.So this definitely performs and I'm well happy with this. The unit itself is deceptively small for the power, smart-looking and light, with quality charge cables (although these could be longer) and a car charger plug, handy for charging on the go.Downsides? Well as others have noticed, the instructions are tiny, especially for an old git like me, so this must be rectified at this price (hence only four stars). I'm sure there are those who had bad experiences who didn't know the right setting for a completely flat battery (you have to override it), and not everyone carries a magnifying glass with them, so this is a big omission. Also, for what it is, it is pricey.
5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin
I was going to by the 90 model but I like overkill so I went for the XL. I'm actually quite glad I did.I read the instructions and plugged it into my USB charger. It took 4.5 hours to charge which is I think what the instructions said it would be.I have always been a bit sceptical of these little car starters because they look so small compared to the big lead acid powered ones of old. But it does do the job and it does it pretty well. I was convinced when a friend told me that his "90" model started his 5 Litre AMG Merc but all the same I wanted the extra comfort zone for my high compression 4.2 Litre Audi RS5 so I bought this bigger XL model. This model is supposed to be able to start an 8 Litre car. Three times. It does the job perfectly, however I would question its ability to do it three times in a row without charging. I think that's pushing the boundaries of belief. For example, on my 20 HP Briggs garden tractor engine, the thing was flat after three 10 second cranking sessions. But crank it it did and had the petrol been actually going into the engine <grin> it would have started. And I've no doubt that as soon as I clean out the crud from its 20 year old carburettor, it will...I also bought the optional carry case which is a nice design and this whole thing will fit nicely in my glove box until it is needed.I only have one slight complaint: The crocodile clips to connect the battery ought to be on a longer leash. On a big engine you have a big battery and opening these out to the full extent of their Y makes it a very tight stretch on my battery.
Small & Powerful
Initially wasn’t sure about this but has lived up to its promise. After toting the big booster pack this is so much better. It is definitely lighter in weight. I have charged cars and trucks without any issue. It keeps a charge for a very long time. Has a carrying pouch and connection cables are easy to disconnect/connect to it. I just wish I could find where to just order additional cables. LED screen shows how much charge is left on it. It is expensive but well worth the price. I now see tow truck drivers using these/this brand.

Solid unit. Zero issues & worth having handy.
TLDR; Worth the buy. Worked exactly as needed. Good tool to have on hand. "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."I had neglected to start up an 06 Infiniti sitting in the heat for a couple of weeks when the battery was already going bad. Don't judge! I bought a new car.So, since I always intended to own a portable jumper for times like this, having no cables & instead of bothering anyone with a jump, I pulled the trigger and bought one of these units. (12V 1500A)Getting to the point. Worth the buy. No problems upon use. I of course had to charge it completely which took somewhere between 4-6 hours.Upon hooking up to the battery ***it did take a minute or two for the car battery to "receive" the charge,*** but once it did, the unit started making a clicking sound, the power LED Indicators on the unit started cycling (which to me suggested the unit was officially feeding the car battery) - went to turn the key in the ignition and voila, car started up without skipping a beat.Remember folks, if a power cell has zero charge, it's not going to instantly come back to life when you hook it up to a jumper or other battery! Give it a couple of minutes at most, but any longer, it would be safe to assume the battery is totally dead especially if the unit is non-responsive when you hook it up.The unit itself is nice and compact. The box packaging is sturdy enough for you to regularly pack it back inside its box - if you're that sort of person, I am - but it does include a surprisingly NICE quality/material storage bag.The Jumper Cables are a tad short, but understandably for the purpose of being compact. I myself had no issues reaching my battery with them, but could pose an issue to those with a hard to reach battery. The dual LED illumination lights definitely supply you with some decent light, and would certainly be visible at night on the road or get you around your house in a power outage, but I would not recommend it be used as a primary light source. It also includes a USB port for you to connect a charger for your devices.I understand others have later reported that their unit died on them. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Though, I would imagine as long as I don't keep it sitting on a charger, don't use it unnecessarily, and only recharge it if it actually becomes depleted - it should last.I recommend this product. 👌Thank you for reading!
