This was a bargain and I’m loving using this cast iron skillet set! They came pre seasoned, but I’ve re seasoned them with use. Easily can cook things like eggs once you know how to oil the pan. I made a homemade roux for gumbo and it came out perfect! Make sure to wash , dry and reseason after each use so you don’t get any rust!

Good evenly cooking pans.Need a good scouring wash before seasoning.They seasoned well, and fried eggs don't stick (standard test) so I'm pleased.The underside is quite rough so I probably wouldn't use these on induction or halogen stove glass tops without sanding them down a little first.But otherwise, these are hefty solid pans that will add a little iron to my food rather than C8/PTFE chemicals.

I only used one of the pans twice and when I wanted to use it again today I was like... Omg I didn't clean it properly when is actually full of RUST.Returned.

For those who know what they're doing with cast iron, this is an excellent pan.It may say pre-seasoned, but ALWAYS season it yourself. Wash the pan, let it dry, then oil it - you do this ALL over, handle and all. Pop it in the oven as high as the oven will go for about half an hour for an even season, it may get smoky so open all your kitchen windows before you open the oven again.Lack of seasoning will explain any rust you see and is why you season the whole pan, not just the bit you cook in. Do not assume that the advertised pre-seasoning will protect against that.If you've never owned cast iron before, know that it is a bit different from other pans, but once you get the seasoning done right food should not stick and the pan should not rust - if your food is sticking, the pan is not properly seasoned.The dual usage is incredible, you get a 'deeper than it looks' pan suitable for doing all sorts of stews/casseroles/bolognese, and a frying pan that doubles as a lid. Looked after properly, these pans should last me for the rest of my life. Good riddance synthetic unreliable (likely carcinogenic) non-stick rubbish you have to replace every couple of years or so. I love this set!

Unfortunately item came damaged in undamaged packaging, which leads to a conclusion that factory has poor or no quality control at all. There is a little crack on inside near the handle. While item still does its job, it shouldn’t be like that. Tried to fill return form, but such an heavy item to be shipped back from Ireland costs 30e, while under Bolo return policy they can reimburse only 1/3 of this amount for returning item. I suppose they should offer returning items postage label on they behalf. There is no point to return 35e worth item, and cover 20e on shipping by myself. Other than that it would great piece of pans. Of course do your preseasoning by yourself as the factory one is not the greatest. Take care of it and it will last you a life time. Unless you got a cracked one…
5.0 out of 5 stars Vast majority of negative reviews are people who simply don’t understand cast iron
These pans are good quality cast iron pans at a very good price.I have noticed the negative reviews on here are all that the pans got rusty or are not non-stick despite ‘being pre-seasoned’Please bear in mind, cast iron pans require work, you need to completely dry them after cleaning them, by heating them up, not just drying with a towel. The seasoning occasionally needs to be topped up, it takes a while cooking with cast iron until you learn how to make them ‘non-stick’ you essentially need to preheat them on low for 10-15m before you cook with them or stuff will stick and you’ll probably have to reseason again.Do not buy cast iron pans expecting them to be as easy to use as teflon pans, they take work, but once you get the hang of it, it’s very rewarding.If you don’t cook often and just want something to make eggs in, buy a Teflon pan.
