    Power cable is tricky to connect due to the silicone cover not allowing much play and this resulted in the charging box not powering up which charges the pods. Once the units were charged, connecting was quick and straightforward. Comfortable in the ear with with three sets of silicone ear tips and ear grips to choose to get the fit right and great to hear the power level when using connecting to phone.

    These are never gonna fall outta my ears. So snug. Yet to try them under water but needed something sweat and rain proof. Sound quality is brilliant and it's so useful being able to control my music player through them without having to reach for my phone.

    There’s an interesting style about these earbuds. While other manufacturers are all to some extent copying AirPods, Boompods have made a few little changes to make theirs a little bit different. For example, the fact that everything is soft touch plastic and rubber, rather than hard plastic, and the way in which the top of the pod case is only attached to the bottom by a strap, rather than by the more expected hinge. I’m reviewing the ‘ice blue’ style and on that one, even the colour scheme, foregoing black in favour of a soft grey and eggshell blue set-up, is a little different. And it *kind* of works- it’s quite sweet, and looks quite childish. But on the other hand, it means that the strap sticks out in an unwelcome way when the pod is closed.The buds themselves are also slightly unusual in shape, hedging their bets and extruding in a way that could keep them in place by attaching to both the top and bottom of your ears. This also kind of works- it does feel like a firm fit, but it’s undone slightly by the weight of the buds, which always feels like it’s trying to pull away from the ear- averaging out in a fit that’s OK rather than great.But the biggest problem for me is the sound quality. It’s not finessed at all- a victory of style over content I think. There’s a lot of bass, which some kinds of music will benefit from, but the top end is tinny and underwhelming and disappointingly unclear. It’s in the sound quality that the reason that these earpuds are quite good value (at time of writing) really becomes clear.The microphone sound quality is “alright”, apparently, when I tried calling somebody with it- though (I was told) it does pick up wind noise rather a lot, so it’s better suited to indoors calls than outdoors ones.Another gripe is that the control is not intuitive. You have to press quite hard on the side of your ear to get the button press to acknowledge, and the instructions come with a surprisingly complex diagram detailing all the different control combinations for track skipping, Siri linking, volume etc. Play and pause (in my opinion the most commonly used one), which is a single press on every other wireless headphones I’ve ever tried, is a double-click here- and to turn them off, you have to hold the same button down for five seconds, no less, which seems needlessly awkward.There are dozens of different brands coming out with wireless earpods at around this price range right now, a trend kicked off by Apple etc. Boompods have done a fairly original take on it compared to the others, but ultimately a selection of gripes with the design and a pretty underwhelming, overbaked-bass sound quality leave me thinking of these as a bit mediocre.

    Wow. Never have I ordered something and it's completely dead let alone doesn't charge... What a waste of time. Tried numerous plugs and cables with no luck. Made in Britain..... Kinda sums it all up really. Avoid like the plague

    Been waiting for a while to purchase a new pair of wireless headphones that I could use everyday and when out and about whilst exercising. The snappy rechargable a case is great and keeps them safe for storage . The sound quality is top notch and for the price point I dont think I could have found better,. Well done Boompods!! I throughly recommend.

    These fit great due to the different sizes that come with the boom buds and sound is brilliant even though when on calls the other person advices they can only just hear me.

    These are disappointingly poor. Things started out well for me, because these actually fit in my ears. I have a birth defect twisted ear canal, and small insides to my ears, a combination which can make ear buds (and true wireless ones in particular) that I can actually use hard to find. Quite often, because true wireless earbuds are so highly shaped and need to be a bit larger than wired earbuds to accommodate their workings, they simply don’t fit in my ears.These are an attractive blue-grey colour, and come with a neat little charging pot (after the fashion of AirPods), this charges via a micro USB cable. These ear buds have two silicone covers that fit on each bud, one that wraps around the outside of the bud, altering the size and ear fit, and one covering the ear canal insert. The buds are supplied with three sizes of each. They came with the medium covers installed, I needed to swap all 4 covers for the smallest sizes - which was a little fiddly - but once done, these actually fit my ears - without pain, and without popping out in wear. Everything about the buds, their case, and covers, looks and feels nicely made.The buds paired easily with my iPad - which detected them immediately and connected quickly - with each bud giving a confirmation that it had been successfully paired. But then things go downhill. The sound quality is shockingly poor. Everything sounds muddy and tinny. It doesn’t seem to matter what genre of music is being played. Everything is weedy and kind of muffled. There’s distortion even at low volumes. They’re really not great. Such a shame.
