5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good!
I've been eating Tahini since the 1980s and Sunita is always the brand I buy. Recently, my local healthfood store stopped stocking this so I had to try a few others as I couldn't find Sunita on Bolo. Meridian is less smooth, but a good substitute (if you need it) for peanut butter - it has quite a strong flavour. Although I always eat Light Tahini, out of desperation, I bought the Pepperwood whole seed Tahini from Bolo and was surprised at how sweet it tastes (apparently there are different varieties of sesame seeds and locations where they're grown, also some are stoneground and others are not - all these factors can make a difference to the taste!) Sadly Pepperwood whole seed is unavailable at the moment so I bought Biona organic Whole Sesame Tahini and was very disappointed by the flavour - it was dark and a little bitter so I won't be buying that again. I ordered some Sunita from Bolo which never arrived, but happily, one sold by Bolo arrived the next day! However, I'll definitely try the Pepperwood brand again (I've already ordered it twice) and perhaps one or two others that are stoneground and grown in Ethiopia - I never knew how good they could taste :-)Some say it's thinner - well, it is thinner than sunnita, but i find I can use it straight out of the jar without a thick lump in it that's difficult to stir into the separated oil - so this brand is easier to use for dressings and drizzling on my breakfast - i still find i can spread it on oatcakes :-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty, smooth tahini
Lovely product, would buy again. Thankyou to all who replied to my question re. use by date. I found it on my unopened jar, just below the lid, on the jar itself. Purchased June '24, use by Feb' 25. The jar I'm using must have escaped the stamping machine.Thankyou again for all replies including seller.
4.0 out of 5 stars Tasty
A fairly good Tahini Paste, very tasty but a tad pricy. As I don't usually give 5* this is top marks. Would I buy it again??, maybe if found at a lower price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best flavour ever!
The tahini has the best flavour and taste.
3.0 out of 5 stars Too thin
Previously, with this product it would just be necessary to blend the liquid and the settled solids at the bottom of the tub by stirring. I kept searching with a large spoon for the solid crushed sesame seed in the tub but it was about 90% liquid. I am not sure whether it was mostly sesame oil but it is not the texture I expect of a good tahini. On the plus side, it's organic and it's cheap for organic tahini.
Creamy ,Smooth ,Toasty and of course Organic.
Perfect accompaniment to my humus and my soups. Good consistency and not overloaded with 'oil and no paste' like some other brands. You can buy this with confidence.
Yummy and good
Yummy. Good. Gluten-free and good price
Product Incredible and Container a Super Upgrade
I bought this about 2-3 years ago. A great savings and wonderful taste, but as some have said, the white container leaked and its oil was on the box and the container it came in. I had lost some oil, but I used it and the Tehina was great. Before that I had ordered them in the 11.6 oz glass jars, and after that incident I want back to them, even though it was more costly. Their plastic container was flimsy and the box was the same, but this time, for I took another chance, the box was very sturdy, and although a tiny bit of oil seeped through the cover of the white plastic container, it was just a very little AND the white container seems to have been upgraded to a sturdier container.I had a 4 qt glass bowl with a lid, ready to receive the contents, so I could store it in glass and take from it every day, but I realized when stirring it in its new white container, for about 45 minutes, to get the hardened Tehina off the bottom of the container, which it always has from settling, whether it's in an 11.6 oz glass jar or its 6 lb plastic container, that I could use the container itself to store it in AND take from it daily. It's a much better container. I am very pleased, with not only the product, which I already knew was great, but the upgraded white plastic container it now comes in, and also the box the company (Pepperwood or Bolo?) put it in to ship it.Update: having used the white container to both store it in and take out from it on a daily basis, I've gone to a Pyrex glass container to take from it daily. The white container is so strong that it takes a little effort to get the lid off it. It's a little easier this way with the rubber Pyrex lid cover. I've got three large scoops of a soup ladle in the Pyrex and that should be good for about two weeks? They say to only have one to two tablespoons of Tehina a day, but it's just so good I have more. I put two heaping tablespoons onto a paper plate and dribble some honey all over it. It's delicious.
