Stevia plant is a small, sweet, leafy herb. This small perennial herb belongs to the Asteraceae family, in the genus Stevia. Its scientific name is Stevia rebaudiana. Some commonly referred names are honey leaf plant, sweet chrysanthemum, sweetleaf stevia, sugarleaf, etc. Every part of the plant has a sweet taste to it, but its dark green leaves with their sharp-toothed edges contain higher levels of saccharides. The Guarani people of Paraguay have incorporated the leaves into their drinks and cuisines to lend sweetness, as well as for its healing properties in traditional remedies. Stevia leaf extract is 200-350 times as sweet as sugar.

We did a taste test with four people, two different types of cake. All of them went into the compost straight away, along with the powder. Will not try again.

This could be a labelling error or a language issue but either way the label on product delivered does not match the one shown on site or the description. Either it is zero calorie or it is 400 cal per 100g. Either it is 100% pure stevia or it has 30g per 100g added sugar. Both versions can not be true.Having compared it to another brand the contents seem the same so I think it is most likely a labelling issue, confusing.

It’s real green leaf stevia powder. There isn’t any sugar added to it. I’ve bought stevia lots of times before, and this is no different from other brands. It was posted quickly and it’s far cheaper than anywhere else on the internet. I bought a second Kg bag and when that finished recently, I bought a much bigger bag. Perfect product, excellent seller.
