Had to replace pop up plug in small hand basin.No room to use plumbers wrench on locking ring and too big for normal adjustable spanner. Large jaw size and short handle made this idealWould recommend, cheaper than getting a plumber in!

I brought some wrenches to replace a number of pumps in my central heating. As well as a full size pipe wrench I decided to try one of these for the awkward fixing between pipes.Although it is usable on most brass fittings it has two problems I came across. Firstly, the adjustment is very loose and I frequently had to keep tighten it to the correct size. Secondly, possibly related to the first is that it has no gripping surface unlike pipe wrenches typically do. This means is does not grip well to nuts and fixings and tends to not sit well on large fixings. The two things combined mean that the spanned will often be slipping off what you are trying to undue, not a good thing in tight gaps where you can't see well.I did manage to use it to successfully complete the job so it isn't all bad but the design could do with a rethink in places.

I knew they were cheap but as I was only using on a plastic nut for one job I thought they'd do. How wrong I was. Out of the plastic the jaw faces were rounded and still with casting flashing on them so no way would they work. I flattened them and trued them up with a file which helped a bit but the travelling jaw was so badly made it wobbled all over the place. Never worked. I bought a quality wrench from my local plumbers merchant which, while costing a lot more, worked straight out of the box.

Not only excellent price. Had been searching for two weeks to fins a spanner to fit large plastic nut to couple toilet flush to drainage. Found this delivered overnight. Why bother traipsing round DIY shops.

It's Plastic, very lightweight, won't last. The most annoying thing is that the grip isn't tight, it's wobbly and it keeps slipping away.

Initially purchased to deal with a hard to get at nut behind a toilet system but since used for many tasks, the short handle allowing access and turning in tight spaces. Seems a lightweight build and cheaper than many comparable items but has so far worked very well.
