Small size and works very efficiently and easily drained a fuel tank with a long tube (2 metres) into the petrol tank. The pump was located on the floor. It required priming to start the flow and quickly emptied the tank of 20 litres in about 10 minutes (which will depending on tube, levels and fuel). I used a Sealey VS020 Brake & Clutch Bleeder Vacuum pump connected to the tube on the outlet side of the pump to pull the petrol up into the pump to prime it and then diverted the flow into a 20L Jerry can, from there on it worked flawlessly. It is possible that priming may not be required on a shorter inlet pipe? Watch out for prolonged intervals of large air bubbles when the tank is near empty as they may starve the pump of liquid and cause problems although the pump documentation does not mention dry running.I used 10mm ID x 13mm OD Clear PVC Tubing with small jubilee clips. These were the very small size at 8mm width across the band, anything larger will not seal as they do not form a consistent circle when tightened.The tube and pump does not seem to be affected by E10 petrol but time will tell. The pump comes with a filter. The documentation states that the pump will maintain good flow with a 2.13 meter height distance on the inlet side.For safety reasons first connect the short leads from the pump to a length of leads with secure connections and then connect the other end of the leads to a battery well away from the pump and any extraneous petrol and fumes. This will ensure any sparks when connecting are well away from the petrol. Also do not try to start a siphon or prime the pump by manual sucking as the petrol and fumes can be dangerous to health.

It does the job while the pump motor is cold, but the pump motor gets very hot quickly & then it starts to struggle.

Would have preferred a rotary pump for more flow and less noise, but that's my fault for not checking before buying.Works fine for my use case

Used to pump 150 litres of diesel out of a tank on a boat. Primes well under negative suction. Was used with Suction pressure between approx 0.5m to 0m head and filled a 25 lite container in about 10 minutes. With ptfe used on the joints there were no leaks. Only grumble is the wires were a little on the short side but obviously easy enough to join to another cable.

The media could not be loaded. Well I purchased this on September 18th 2024 for my 1993 Diesel Transit campervan. It's now October 25th 2024 and the pump has basically failed. It is still pumping but the output is very weak. The van itself has cover about 250 to 300 miles since installation so the pump has not seen much in the way of use, therefore you would not expect a failure this early. Now to begin with I was very happy with the pump, it appeared to be reasonably well built and I was happy with its output. Now, I'd like to point out that it is the pump which has failed, I had replaced all of the fuel system, the tank itself had been removed and cleaned, furthermore it is a factory plastic fuel tank so there is no rust or any other contaminant. The pump is wired correctly though a heavy duty relay.So in short, the pump has lasted barely just beyond its shockingly short one month return period, it failed and I have no recourse other than to purchase another pump, therefore I cannot recommend this product.
