After trying many products that claim to cover greys I was doubtful that this would work. It's in a very manageable compact case, easy to fit in even a small handbag. I used the shorter end of the double ended brush as it felt softer. I am amazed how well it covers, & you dont need a lot. Also you have better control than the sprays which can make your scalp look 'dirty'. I've never spent this amount on any hair coverage produt but am so glad I gave this a shot ! Excellent product and a lifesaver for someone who doesn't always have the spare cash to get their roots done at the hairdressers.

Yes, this is darker than you think but coverage is superb and long lasting. Would Not buy any of the ones in Boots etc. This absolutely superb for the badger line haha!

I don’t know if I have too many greys or git the colour wrong of didn’t apply it in the right way but I wasn’t impressed with this at all. It left my hair looking ‘dusty’. I could still see the greys even though I applied two or three layers. And it’s not cheap. It’s basically like brown eyeshadow. Once it’s on it didn’t really comeOff but you need to section your hair and apply everywhere like the top and the bottom etc. I think L’Oréals root spray better as it covers up more grey and quickly too.Edit: I’ve used this product a few more times since my first review and I’m happier with it now I’ve learned how to use it. It might be good to have a video showing how to use it. It takes more time than the root sprays like L’Oreal but it doesn’t have that stiff painty feel that the spray has. And it lasts for a good couple of days. You might need a bit of a quick retouch after two days but it lasts and looks quite natural. The tricky bit would be getting the right shade for your hair and taking some time and effort to section your hair and apply it almost like hair dye at the roots. But once it’s on, it’s quite good. I’m giving 4 stars because it’s a bit tricky to use well and get it to do what it needs to do - cover the greys well.

Having previously used root sprays which are ridiculously dark and not true, I was surprised and pleased at these colours, they are very natural. A stippling action works best on application and does require time but gives a good finish. I am pleased with result for my needs, it is subtle and looks natural. Wouldn't work sowell covering large areas of grey or regrowth tho. I have a blonde baliage and is great for in-between hair appointments to help disguise grey and regrowth. Not used the colour wow version so cannot comment on comparison but this product does what it should at a reasonable price. There is no transfer of product and doesn't appear to spread on hair when brushing. I am pleased

3.0 out of 5 stars Worked to touch up dark roots with blonde highlights - but "dark blonde" is very dark!
Worked to soften my dark roots, which blonde highlights but with dark roots that grow out so quickly.Shed 1 star, due to the dark blonde being VERY dark and I will have to buy another shade lighter for a more satisfactory result. The product's pricing point was good - reason why I tried this. However, there are other similar products with better description and more actual colour examples of before & after. As with many root touch up products, product description extends so far as to grey coverage, but not, when one is trying to cover the roots darker than the rest. My verdict: This product can work to lighten darker roots, just as it can work to cover grey. Even though the colour match could improve (in my case by opting for a lighter shade) it has managed to soften my darker roots a little. (On my photo.. Left: After, Right: Before). Buyer experience could improve significantly, by adding more specific colour examples and description (...and more shades please? perhaps). Shed another star because the powder stained my white blouse when I was removing the garment - It did come off after a wash, but I wouldn't go to bed without washing hair seeing this. This is probably not specific to this particular product - but if you are putting on a lot of powder and wear white like I do, then you are more likely to experience this.

I like this more than the spray versions as it's easier to target exactly where you want it. Covers grey well and also makes hair appear thicker down my middle parting which is slightly thinning. Will buy again

I bought this as I feel very self conscious about my hair whorl & widow’s peak becoming more prominent in my 30s and wanted to disguise it by bringing my hairline down a bit either side.The powder colour matches my hair perfectly but it is very hard to blend and looks patchy

It's like eyeshadow for your hair. And it's better than Color WOW for a fraction of the cost. The brush on this set is really nice, with two sides (one larger, one smaller). I appreciate the two brushes because some areas really need a wider brush. The formula is a bit creamy for a shadow, so use a light hand. The seller followed up to make sure it was delivered and received in good condition, which I appreciate given this is a product that may have arrived with damage from shipping. I appreciate the care they're taking with their customers, even for an inexpensive item.
