Like Christmas
I've been a cheapskate for most of my adult life, salvaging my components from every trashed consumer electronic device i come across. The problem with this tactic is that if it isn't diligently kept up, one uses all the usual stuff and ends up with a collection of unusual stuff. Then one can't do what one wants to do, when one wants to do it.So this purchase is basically topping up all the usual stuff. To this purpose, it's OK although i did have to buy some larger usual stuff as well since this is rather small usual stuff.It's all sorted nicely enough into broad categories and then smaller bags of values. I can't speak to quality but a random check of each sort of device showed things copacetic, and more or less in tolerance.Which isn't anything others haven't said i suppose. I'm just tickled to be sorting all this stuff into my stuff boxes, knowing that the next time i go to do something, i can do it.
Junk
Not a single project built with these components, has worked. The disc capacitors are useless. Most of them simply do not work at all. The wires on the resistors are so thin, they will not reliability contact a breadboard. I have had to replace everything but the diodes, with better components.I understand budget constraints and that 'just buy a good one' isnt always a viable solution, but this is money down the drain, because a large percentage the components simply dont work and will waste time and ruin your project.
