Bought this and after only using it twelve times it has stopped working. I am annoyed as I had been recommended this model - which has a seven year warranty yet I am unable to return it in under a year of purchase. Save the disappointment and don’t buy it.

I bought this as a gift for a friend, the Box was open and the charger plug was nothing like we use in UK. My friend did find a charger that he found amongst his plugs and things, so was able to use the sharpener and all his pencils ✏ have been sharpened. Not impressed 😕

Description says battery powered - this is mains only and the plug does not fit UK socket. Completely useless. Returned

pencil crayons and pencils.excellent.i paralyzed on left side.does it make noise? yes.but definately not bad/ but i recognize different people will experience the same stimulus diffently.as another person mentioned a very slight turn to clockwise gives excellant control over the formation of the pointit will also depend on how u use the machine...if you quickly jam the pencil in you will probably not have the results you are looking for.
Small But Mighty
I sharpened 48 pencils to give to attendees at a conference a few days ago. It didn't take as long as I had anticipated (YAY!), and this little sharpener whizzed right through them, without a hitch. Quality and functionality at a small price...what more can you ask for? (I used the electrical cord, not the battery, just to be certain the job got finished.)

Fantastic little machine!
I am a colorist and had acquired a beautiful set of Prisma Premier colored pencils. My hand held sharpener was literally chewing up these lovely pencils, breaking the lead as well as the wood. The minute this Bostitch sharpener was delivered I promptly used it and the pencils sharpened perfectly without any hitches or bumps. Its a great addition to my art supplies.
