5.0 out of 5 stars Works as described love it
Will be helpful over winter. My only complaint about it is there is not enough smaller piping for shelving,it's also a little short in length and is easy to knock out of notchesI thought it had loads but only about 8 and you need some to raise blower so down to 6 for hanging clothes.Additionally it's got colder in Scotland now and this heats a room brilliantly while drying.Highly recommend 👌
4.0 out of 5 stars Dries very quickly
I should start this review by explaining that I bought this to replace the JML dri buddy which had rave reviews but I did not find met my needs. This is quite a different beast - it has some great points and some things that could improve.First - it holds a fair amount of washing that can be draped over the towel rails or put on hangers. It holds more if you put your clothes on hangers but frankly, I can rarely be bothered! And be aware that only the middle rails are strong enough for that. It also comes with two hangers which have pegs on for your smalls. I find these really useful and they are really sturdy although they are plastic so they won't stand up to excessive force - as long as you are sensible, these will probably last for ever. The motor is a separate entity that sits on the bottom rail of the drier so you can just use it to air dry your clothes if you want to. It does a load of very lightweight items in an hour and I have found that heavier items are usually done in 2. Either way, if you needed something on the same day, you could easily wash it in the morning and have it dry by lunchtime. (Obviously this is just my personal experience with the clothes I wear - you will have to be circumspect about how you take those timings). The motor has a timer and a remote control so you can set it to go again from your sofa if you want although since you would have to get up to check the washing, I don't see the use of it. That said, if you struggled to bend, or had bad knees, it would mean you didn't have to hurt yourself if you were keeping the drier out all the time which I don't.So, it does fold but it's quite annoying because you have to grab the bar in the middle and pull it up so it ends up being flat but very tall. It doesn't quite go flat although you could put it under a bed, say. For me, this is one of the disappointments - I would really rather it folded down on itself so it was much smaller because it's quite a lot taller than me - I am 5ft6- so it makes getting it into a cupboard difficult. It could slide nicely behind a sofa say, or under a bed but then you've got the faff of getting it out all the time.Second, the instructions are frankly, utter pants. I have included the photo in the hope that you can see how the rods should actually fit in the rack. I had built the thing to the top layer before I realised I had done it wrong. That said, once you do understand how it should fit together, it's really not difficult to built and didn't take me much time at all.Now this is the big downside - it is REALLY flimsy. I bent two of the towel rods putting them in which annoyed me. Also, the rods do not clip in, so to speak, they rest on the brackets which means I am forever knocking them off.Lastly, the cover itself is also flimsy. I had used it twice when one of the zips broke. The seller sent me a brand new cover straight away with no questions asked so I was really impressed with that.My overall advice is that I think this is really good but you need to understand that it is delicate and be careful with it. Customer service is excellent and the drier will certainly get your washing dry far quicker than the device I had bought first.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great and cheap to run
It's easy enough to put together, it's light and though some of the bars you add in are a bit spindly, the overall frame is pretty sturdy, and could totally manage without the spindly ones. Dries clothes well and thoroughly in a few hours (about 3 hours) and is cheap to run. Also warms the room it's in....bonus. it is loud when it's on, so I dont sleep with it on, biut you could have a conversation, it's not deafening. The cover is sturdy enough, I've had it a couple months now and no issues. It allows me to dry clothes well and quickly, where before they were staying damp for days and would be smelly so it's made life a lot more pleasant. It's a helluva lot cheaper then my heating also and I can dry more and more quickly than I could on rads. It's bulky, haven't figured out folding it up, but will easily take it apart in the summer when I no longer need it and reassemble in winter. For now, because it is very light, it's easy to move around, to different rooms and spots in the house so it's not too in the way.Very happy with this purchase!
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible. Broken within 3 months
The media could not be loaded. *EDIT*Smells like burning and is making weird noises in under 3 months of using it. Tried contacting the company via the details provided by Bolo but had no reply. A really unsafe product and the company obviously doesn’t care about their customers.*Edit*Been using it for about a month and half and it seems to be falling apart. There’s a rip in it but nothing has been sharp enough to cut or be near it to do that etc! The white hoops at the top keep falling off too… I wouldn’t mind these tiny errors but paying £80 for something only for it to start falling apart in less 2 months is disappointing. I’m probably going to have to get a new cover for it soon and I doubt I’ll be able to get one specific to this brand. I may as well have invested in a better brand and paid that bit more as now I’m going to have to spend money to replace the cover. Oh and one of the poles inside has started to bend but it’s had nothing heavy on it. This isn’t a major problem right now though as can still be usedOriginally review:Works really well. Just moved into my first place without a dryer. Had a major problem with my jeans taking about 3 days to dry and then having a damp smell but this dries them in less than 3 hours (time mostly depends on what else is on there at the same time)It’s actually quite ugly to look at. But I really don’t mind. It gets quite humid in the room it’s in so ideally don’t have it in a place where you spend a bit of time. Unfortunately it has to go in my bedroom and so it can get a little too hot in there some times. But not complaining as I can now wash and dry my clothes all in a few hours
3.0 out of 5 stars It does the job
I have received the clothes dryer quicker than I expected. It is quite easy to put all the pieces together and it does the job. I have managed to dry all sorts of clothes -i.e baby clothes, beddings, jeans, towels, shoes. It dries just as quick and as good as a tumble dryer, I can't complain about that. The down side is that it looks quite flimsy and I am not sure how long it will last. I only have it for few days but by the look of it, it won't last too long, I hope I am wrong as is not cheap, is just a few £££ cheaper than a tumble dryer with 2 years warranty. I have no warranty on this one. I am not a tall person, for me is quite difficult to fold it or move it around. Other than that it does a good job.
