5.0 out of 5 stars Great family game
Love it as it is so fun to play.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun
Bought as a Christmas gift for my husband but have taken it to lots of family meals with the nieces and nephews, a great game for all the family and can be quite challenging or easy. Would definitely recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic game
Fantastic game, all family loving it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Makes you think yep I know and then you reveal something different
This is a fun game you try to remember where things are and it’s not long before you start doubting yourself. Once you get one wrong it’s a struggle to maintain focus.🧘♂️
5.0 out of 5 stars Great game
I bought this for the family to play as we love thinking games and it is so easy to learn, great for teaching younger kids to think ahead and plan strategically. Would recommend.
3.0 out of 5 stars The game arrived damaged.
The game arrived damaged. If it's new, how can it be? The price has to match the quality! But other than that it's a great game.
4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonably good game
I bought this as a gift for an 11yo and 9yo, they’re very bright and I think this game was a bit too simple for them. If players are evenly matched then you reach a point where someone has to concede a move to move the game on which was disappointing. For the money I wouldn’t buy it again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great strategy game
Loved it had a ton of fun with the kids and grand parents good for the memory
Good memory and strategy game, gorgeously executed
The idea of the game is interesting. You can hide (cloak) a smaller piece with an adjacent bigger piece, slide a piece (small or big) to one of the eight adjacent spaces (and if sliding a big piece, you won't know whether there's a small piece under it or not, if you don't remember from earlier in the game), or lift a big piece (possibly revealing a small piece underneath) and place it on an adjacent space. And of course if you're cloaking a small piece there is a chance you may inadvertently UNcloak a small piece when you lift the big piece to move it.The goal of the game is to get three in a row of the same color small pieces in any direction, and uncloak them (after which you remove those three pieces from the board). If you go for it too straightforwardly one of your opponents may realize what you're doing and uncloak the three in a row that YOU assembled, and get that set for himself or herself. So there is an element of attempting to misdirect the opponent(s) or get them to lose track, which can include bluffing by moving unrelated pieces. Meanwhile, you're trying to keep track of where all the pieces are that your opponents are moving around. Since the game doesn't end until one player gets TWO sets of three in a row the same color, it doesn't end too quickly and there is some room for things to get interesting. So yes, a good game. Much more about memory and misdirection than about strategy per se, which you should be aware of.Then there is also the quality of the physical game itself. It is really beautifully done and very high quality, both board and pieces, and even the box for the whole game and the bag for the pieces are good quality as well. I definitely feel I got my money's worth and I'm very happy with the purchase.
So fun!
Bought this for my dad because he and my mom love games. It’s very challenging, but fun. The product is great quality. A bit big to store, but I do love the wooden set.
Very high quality game.
Really nice wooden game. The rules took us a bit to figure out, but once we got it, the kids kept wanting to come back to it. Great memory game and really good looking too, so we just left it out on our table.
Some pieces don't hide well
The game involves hiding the colored pieces under the larger wooden ones (hence the name Kloak). Some of the wooden ones in our set were not hollowed out enough and we can see the color showing, but I have young kids and don't really mind them having that small advantage.
Engaging
Played with my 8 yr old grandson at first wasn’t interested but then he wanted to play and play worth every penny
