47 North Dark Robust Organic Maple Syrup comes from trees growing in the pristine forests of eastern Canada, with a lower glycaemic index than other sugar syrups and a rich sweetness derived from naturally occurring fructose, maple syrup is the king of sweeteners. It is full of flavour and also antioxidants and minerals. Rich sweetness is derived from naturally occurring fructose. Light woody after-taste and notes of vanilla and warm caramel. Naturally high in nutrients such as zinc, potassium, calcium.

Purchased end of September 2020, and the product is Best Before March 2023. I don't think it will last that long, but off to a great start.Checked the base as pictured and HDPE is safe plastic for anyone who has BPA free concerns. If the plastic is not transparent, it is usually safe.Poured some onto a plate to show the colour. It is slightly darker in colour than a local UK store bought. And not as sugary sweet. Store bought UK tastes diluted and sweet like condensed milk, which THIS product has a slight molasses sour flavour and is slightly thicker although still very funny to pour. While the other has a Kinder chocolate sweetness to it, THIS has a strong toffee flavour, which takes me back to a liquorice toffee my grandfather would buy when I was younger. It took me a while to recognise the memory, such a unique taste and I Love it. I can imagine it being great on pancakes and in some rich dessert recipes.I just compared it to another Maple Syrup a friend bought back from Canada, not dark, and that is sickly sweet in comparison. THIS is certainly much richer and fuller in flavour. That said, I live in the UK and have limited tasting experience, but hope this review helps.

This is definitely a hearty syrup with a hint of treacle. Maple syrup to put hairs on your chest.

A novel 'flagon' like container , with , what must be a very pure 'maple syrup' contained within ! I don't necessarily find it 'strong' tasting , but it's 'mineral' packed content is pleasant enough , 1000ml sounds plenty , but in reality won't go that far !

I like the maple (ahorn) syrup very much.Not possible the order syrup straight from the USA via Bolo.comThen I discovered the same stuf in the UK.So shortest (and cheapest) way to my home country the Netherlands.
