About this item:
Acnecide Face Wash is an effective wash off treatment for mild acne of the face. Contains the active ingredient, 5 percent benzoyl peroxide, which is clinically proven and effectively kills up to 95 percent of spot-causing bacteria. In addition, it contains 'AC microsphere technology' which helps absorb excess oil while releasing glycerine to hydrate the skin. Ingredients Ingredients: Hydrous benzoyl peroxide equivalent to benzoyl peroxide 5% w/w. Other ingredients: docusate sodium, disodium edetate, poloxamer 182, carbomer 940, propylene glycol, acrylates copolymer, glycerol, Colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium hydroxide, and purified water. Directions Apply once or twice daily to cover the affected skin areas. Wet the area to be treated, apply the preparation to the hands and wash the affected area with the gel. Contact time with the skin should be 1 to 2 minutes followed by thorough rinsing with water and drying. When using Acnecide benzoyl peroxide treatments for the 1st time, or after a long break, it is important to read the instructions for use before using Acnecide. You will need to build up useage carefully starting with once-a-day application in the evening for the 1st few days. If your skin tolerates this, you can step up to twice daily application morning and evening. Acnecide benzoyl peroxide spot treatment is also available as a wash-off version. You should not use both treatment formats at the same time. Choose which treatment format feels best for you and your skin care routine. The product is very effective to use as there is almost no resistance to benzoyl peroxide.My only request is that the volume of the product needed to be bigger.

I previously used the Acnecide cream every night but after a short break found that my skin couldn’t tolerate it any more. I swapped to the face wash, use it nightly and it has cleared up my skin within 4 weeks (similar timeline to the cream). Any little spots I get now are much less red and angry in comparison to before. I would definitely recommend this if you find that the cream is too harsh on your skin! One tube lasts around a month.

I have only used this a couple of times and i thought i was good at rinsing my face after washing but obviously not good enough it has taken the colour out of my new turkish cotton towels where i have dried my face.i couldn't believe it so i put a small amount on to the damaged towel and after a while the colour faded! Its just like bleach!

I have suffered for years with bad breakouts, and recently it has got worse, most probably due to hormones (more under the skin spots then whiteheads). I’ve looked at so many different products but always been put off at how expensive they were. I read the reviews for this product and at such a reasonable price, I thought I’d give it a go. What a difference it has made to my skin and confidence. Each day I have noticed my skin clearing. I’ve used both the face wash and gel. I much prefer the face wash. The gel is good but found it definitely dried out my skin more than I wanted. I will always use this product from now and can’t recommend it enough.
