Not big enough for potatoes though. Love it, my strawbs are happy little plants, but too big for traditional tower strawberry planters sold on here. Potatoes should be in 30 litre potato bags. No less. This is not big enough.

Bought the blue in a 4 tier, not wanting it for potatoes instead a mini tower for stuff such as lettuce, radish, spring onions i.e. salad and herbs in a patch of sun sitting on gravel to reduce snail input. Just about to plant it up. As for putting it together a child of two could do this easily just the same as playing with building blocks. Like another reviewer, I shall attempt to economise on compost on all lower tiers by placing something in the middle. Of course the top fully open tier will be filled completely. Not sure whether my few remaining overwintered strawberry plants will go in the top layer or sowings of lettuce, probably the latter. The blue is quite nice, not bright in your face, nor sickly baby blue, more of a light slate colour that tones in nicely with other varying blue pots. It appears sturdy made but then it's German manufactured. Unless weakened by constant hot sunshine I can see this item still doing a good job in years to come although it will fade with time as do all plastic pots whether coloured or terracotta style. I would have given 5 stars had it been a tad less expensive, however I do not feel 'conned' as one often does when buying stuff online that turns out less fit for the job intended. The footprint for this item is well suited for those that only have a small balcony especially if you plant it up with anything otherthan potatoes that can be grown in anything. With food prices going up, I would recommend growing edible plants... I have sown Nasturtiums this year instead of Bizzie Lizzies since you can eat the leaves of Nasturtiums in salads, a peppery taste. Not sure whether you can eat the flowers, I think you can, but I need to check it out before doing so. Happy growing.

Questi grossi vasconi funzionano davvero. Ho piantato tutte le aromatiche dall'aneto alla salvia passando per il timo ed il coriandolo. Il levistico che prima aveva una crescita stentata adesso prospera. La lavanda è splendida e la salvia ananas sta diventando un problema vista la sua crescita. Ho anche piantato le biete ed il prezzemolo oltre all'insalata. Ho aspettato finora prima di recensire ma mi sento di tessere le lodi del prodotto.
