This is one of the best scanners I have ever owned. Setting it up and using it is a dream. The quality is excellent and the options available are superb. I wish I'd known about this before using an old scanner that in comparison terms would be a 1900s car.

Excellent piece of equipment. Shipped with brilliant PDF program (Kofax) and the onboard Scansnap software. Can't go back to scanning on a 3 in 1 printer. Perfect for home use and small bisiness

This is a very capable and easy-to-use scanner. The control panel is clear and easy to use. You can scan several double-sided pages in seconds, and it was delivered to a city of different destinations, including Dropbox and OneDrive and Google Drive. The accompanying software comes in both Windows and Mac versions and is intuitive, giving you tidy images with no blank pages. If you want to go 'paperless' or clear a backlog of paperwork, I recommend the Scansnap ix1600. You can have multiple profiles for other users or family members. I've had mine a couple of weeks and have only experienced one paper jam, which was easy to free.

I’ve had ScanSnaps before and this model has the added functionality to choose the destination of scans whether to Evernote or to a folder e.g. my desktop. It scans fast enough for me and has a small footprint. The software for handling scanned documents does what I want.The only pain I find is if I try to use it wirelessly. Sometimes it’s fine; other times a scan will hang after a few sheets have been fed through and I get a ‘Processing…’ message on the ScanSnap’s screen. At that point I can either wait, paint a wall in the house and watch the paint dry, or shut down the ScanSnap and try again. Fujitsu’s fix (that works) is to connect the ScanSnap to my computer using a USB cable. I looked online to see if others had experienced scans hanging during processing and was amused to see the problem was apparent even 5 years ago.Anyway, apart from this annoyance, the ScanSnap does the job and I’m happy to award 4 stars (one deducted for the issue I’ve described).

It's a small and expensive scanner. It would be OK if it would do what is promised to do.(1) Document scanning is excellent. The only usable feature.(2) Business card scanning is absurd!!! The OCR is not doing its job, often the entire address is put into one line, leaving the other lines (city, postcode) empty, the country is systematically set to "United States" even when the card clearly says "London". Many characters are not recognised, and often lines for "names" are left empty or a totally wrong info is put instead (like "profession"). At the end of the day, so much manual correction is needed that it takes at least 5 times longer than entering the data manually. But the problems continue if the cards need to be exported to an App (such as Mac's "Contacts") as further complications occur. A big mess and waisted time. Basically a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! ...and all that for over £400.(3) It is advertised that scanner can be used without a PC, which is not true.Why does marketing have to be false??????????????The end result?We are returning it!

Selten vergebe ich 5 Sterne. Dieses Gerät jedoch verdient sie uneingeschränkt.Habe den Scanner auf dem Mac und PC installiert. Beides ließ sich problemlos installieren. Software installieren (ggf. Firmware auch noch - dazu wird man aufgefordert), anschließen, Profil einrichten (empfehlenswert für Text und/oder nur Fotos), SCANNEN.Das Teil scannt wie Schmidt's Katze: Schnell und genau. Umwandlung in lesbare PDFs beim Scan oder später - alles kein Problem. Ich arbeite über USB. Die WLAN-Einrichtung war aber ebenfalls einfach.Dieses Gerät hätte ich schon viel früher einsetzen sollen! Ein echtes PLUS gegenüber den "All-in-one-Kisten".

J'ai acheté ce scanner dans le but de dématérialiser mes documents professionnels et je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat. Très rapide et fiable, deux qualités essentielles pour mon utilisation quotidienne. Sa capacité à scanner une variété de formats différents le rend très polyvalent.J'étais sceptique au départ sur le logiciel fourni ... et au final ce dernier fonctionne parfaitement sur mon iMac, ce qui facilite grandement le processus de numérisation et de gestion des documents au quotidien.En termes d'installation, le scanner est véritablement plug and play. Sa mise en place est d'une simplicité remarquable.
