It accurately digitally recreates your artwork - colour accuracy is on point. I was concerned about 800 dpi being too low a limit as printers and A4 scanners can reach 2000+ dpi but i haven’t seen any issues in quality. It picks up the texture of brush strokes well and you have to zoom in a fair bit before it starts to look pixelated. If you want to make faithful prints of your artwork for resale - I feel this does it. It struggles recreating metallic paints - but I imagine any scanner would as they would convert shimmery surfaces to flat colours. Not a massive fan of the design aesthetic - looks a bit like early 90s bulky tech- but an a3 scanner will be big. Also wish it would connect to laptops wirelessly but pros significantly outweigh cons.

This seems like a really good quality scanner - very sturdy and I liked the design. Software loaded ok onto both my MacBook and my PC. Unfortunately I had to return it as it did not fit my purpose. Just a warning for anyone who does quite delicate watercolours - it will not pick up the subtle tones, no matter how much you adjust the settings. If you have quite a bold style it might work ok. Probably for any other types of painting, it would be great. But as a professional illustrator, I needed it to replicate my artwork near perfectly. My current A4 Epson scanner picks up the subtle tones fine, and has a wider range of options in the software. I chose this Plustek A3 one, as it seemed to be geared towards artwork, but I guess I'll have to save up for a more expensive one.

Good scanner but I will say it is massive and does take up a lot of room. My sister does a lot of A-level art work and has been enjoying using this scanner. It scans her art work so you can see the details and does pick up the colours of the work well. It's straight forward enough to use. She loves it and it does what she needs it to do!

Not compatible with printer although it indicates it is. I paid for a professional set up but engineer couldn’t get it to work.

I use this to scan my art work ready for printers. It seems to pick the colours up well and you don’t have to wait too long for the picture to come up on your computer. I edit the pics after with other software but it depends what you want to do as the scanner gives editing options which seem very good.

Really wanted this scanner to work for me because in terms of price it's unbeatable if you compare to the proper Epson A3 scanners which start at £1000+ however as an artist and illustrator the quality was just unusable for me. The biggest problem was that the exposure is too high. No matter how much I'd tinker with the settings and even get the company involved, all whites are completely blown out. So you lose brushstrokes, the grain of the paper or all detail in whites which is completely unusable to me because no amount of editing in post and photoshop can get back that loss of detail. However if you're just casually scanning artwork and not needing to reproduce the art for print or blow them up in size this scanner works well for that. Scan surface is huge, you lose a millimetre or two of you centre it on the edges but you can circumvent this by using the entire scan surface. The CIS scanner is also great in scanning art work with 3D relief textures without blurring, but the loss of detail in texture and detail in the white was an absolute deal breaker for me. I would also get odd colour reflections and halo effects in scans in blacks or slightly varnished areas, like lens flares, which would take a lot of photoshopping to try and get rid of. The company was trying to be helpful at first in finding solutions but then just stopped replying all together so I ended up having to return it. Just not good enough for me sadly who needs to print and enlarge my scans. For a casual artist/user this might be good enough but I can't wholeheartedly recommend.

My initial impression is that this is very good. The control panel gives you excellent control, it is simple to use, and the end results are excellent. I did have one problem with getting the results I wanted, but putting the question to them quickly supplied the answer I needed.

Super Scanner mit Einarbeitung
Super Scanner, sehr gute Scann-Qualität, bin mit dem Ergebnis richtig zufrieden.Die Menue-Maske ist etwas unstrukturiert aber nach 15 Minuten testen und verändern war das Ergebnis top.WLAN Anschluss leider nicht vorhanden und somit nicht über Netzwerk steuerbar, aber dies ist akzeptabel.Würde wieder kaufen.
Stor pryl, skannar stort, prisvärd i sammanhanget sett
Jag använder den här skannern till att skanna postrar, CD-, kassett- och LP-konvolut, papper, och en massa annan bråte. Den gör ett bra jobb med det och jag är särskilt imponerad över drivrutinens inbyggda färgkorrigering. Den som köper den här prylen borde däremot betänka att:1. Den är stor, relativt tung, men framför allt tjock. Med detta sagt är det en stabil pjäs det rör sig om, vilket ändå får anses vara en bra egenskap -- men den är ändå över en decimeter hög.2. Den skannar inte särskilt snabbt. Om man jämför med valfri kontorskopiator är den här pjäsen en bit långsammare, men resultaten går inte riktigt att jämföra (oftast har kopiatorer CIS-sensor mot den här skannerns CCD). Att den inte har trådlös anslutning, däremot, är lite kasst.3. Den har, likt alla andra skanners som jag provat, lite problem med blått (i korrigerat stadium blir det för mörkt, okorrigerat för ljust). Det är ingenting som inte går att lösa i Photoshop, såklart, men det blir ett extra steg.4. Den skannar bara upp till 800 dpi. Notera dock att den klarar av att skanna hela A3+-ytan i 800 dpi utan att ge felmeddelanden eller avbryta skanningen, till skillnad från en del kontorskopiatorer.5. Nu till något positivt: drivrutinen. Jag kör Windows 10, och medan drivrutinens gränssnitt och programvara är fult som stryk, finns alla de funktioner som man kan tänkas vilja använda. Det går enkelt att välja filformat och komprimering, och den döljer inte komprimeringsalternativen i någon undermeny (jag tänker på dig, Ricoh...). Jag tyckte faktiskt att drivrutinen var rätt användarvänlig och har ingen större synpunkt på dess funktionalitet. Gränssnittet är bara inte så snyggt.Med allt detta sagt är jag jäkligt nöjd. Om man kikar efter vilka andra flatbäddskrivare i A3-storlek som finns, som dessutom har CCD-sensor, verkar (i stort sett) alla andra skrivare ligga uppe på minst det dubbla priset, om inte det tredubbla, för nästa steg upp. Jag är inte helt säker på att jag tycker att en sådan skillnad i pris är försvarbar för den konsumentnisch som den här skannern ändå riktar sig mot, vilket ändå får mig att tänka att det är en produkt som i sammanhanget sett är prisvärd, om än inte direkt billig i absoluta termer. Jag är nöjd med mitt köp och tycker att mojängen är väl lämpad för det som jag utsätter den för.
Software un po’ datato
Che dire… prezzo buono ma ovviamente non puoi pretendere uno scanner A3 che abbia caratteristiche top!È rumoroso… ha l’usb A (non veloce!)… ma soprattutto ha un software (ho Mac) che è un po’ datato ma ha il minimo indispensabile… fa il suo comunque.Una scansione a 800punti in Tif riesce a farla in tempi decenti (c’è di peggio) ma se pensate di prenderlo per fare centinaia e centinaia di immagini, pensateci bene… il tempo è fondamentale. Forse meglio prendere qualcosa di più performante e la risoluzione ottica massima si limita a 800dpi, anche se a molti potrebbe andar bene (per carità).È un CCD… e le scansioni vengono bene (non eccelse) ma il passaggio da Photoshop è obbligatorio.A questo prezzo forse va bene ma se volete una qualità maggiore, bisogna puntare ad altro… anche la qualità costruttiva è troppo “plasticosa” e “vecchia”.Tre stelle di conforto
