5.0 out of 5 stars Makes amazing coffee even an Englishman can make.
Impressed with the quality of this pot. Seems like decent materials and everything fits together properly. It was well packaged and comes with two spare rubber seals and a spare top chamber filter. The (translated) instructions are hilarious but if you can't work out how to use it (or at least watch a YouTube video) you should not be allowed to go near sharp objects.First brew was spot on, just fantastic coffee, and that's using a "relatively" cheap supermarket 4 strength blend. They say to put warm water in the bottom chamber for the brew, but I have never done that and had no problems. One piece of advice for what its worth, be patient. Heat it up on a low flame (just licking the bottom), it will take a while but it is so worth it. Don't force it to happen.Very easy to clean, just use cold water and a soft, lint free dishcloth. I have a cloth dedicated to this procedure. One slight irritation is the finish of the handle and the lever on the lid (not straight), they don't seem to have been fitted very well and look like someone, unskilled, has been at them with a file (see photos). I guess you have to pay more money to get people to take pride in their work or, more likely, cut down on the bosses bonuses and pay your workers better.People who gave one star because the handle isn't real wood really just need to get over themselves.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stainless and well made!
Well made and replaced a well known make that was made out of ALU that was unfortunately spoiled in dishwasher. Think we should only be using stainless....300ml makes a schooner size cup coffee. So for me perfect size. I immediately purchased replacement seals. Great value and particularly liked handle and trim. Looks like wood but apparently nylon. Hope that helps!
4.0 out of 5 stars Makes decent moka coffee
Not too expensive and it makes a good mug size anount of coffee. A couple of sharp edges inside and on the top rim but not enough to put me off using it. Wooden handle is great for stove brewing as it doesn't attract heat but overall nothing special, its just a larger version of your usual Italian Moka maker.Comes with spare gasket so that's something good too.EDIT..... This model has not rusted since purchase, there is a little discolouration underneath reservoir but that is baked on coffee spill, but inside no rust, it is stainless steel after all.Advice, when storing don't tighten the 2 halves together too much, just enough to grip so when storing it doesn't rattle, otherwise the gasket can get damaged and then start to leak steam. (Guilty as charged)
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little coffee pot
Great value, perfect size, looks goods, easy to use and clean
1.0 out of 5 stars The lid fake wood came off straight away and unbale to out it back
The wood is not wood and it's fake wood. The wood thing on the lid came off and one can't out it back at all. I wrote to the company asking about the missing part and I had no reply. Not worse to buy it, buy in the supermarket, they are Italian machines and proper costumer services. Plus the fake plastic is not good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stove Coffee Pot
I’m never keen to endorse products, but this pot is excellent. Very fast to boil/steam, easy to clean and tastes the same as the famous Lagostina pots I’ve been using for years, well minus the aluminium !5 star pot !!! ps never use a dishwasher, ruined my old pot of 20 years :(
3.0 out of 5 stars Well made apart from a very flimsy lid hinge
Great looking coffe maker but the lid is very flimsy and I suspect will fall off very shortly. A real pity, watch this space, as if it does it will going back. A real shame as the rest of the product is well made and is stainless steel.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little coffee pot
Perfect size stove top coffee maker.Pleased with it so far.
Best coffee cum cappuccino short of a full on espresso maker!
Got the 9 cup version 1st & after some homework on the how to's, it makes a good cuppa java. Its even as a base for a good homemade cappuccino utilizing homo milk heated via microwave & foamed with a Bamix aerating/whipping blade.Got this 4 cuppa for single servings as my homework led me to understand the the coffee grounds container/strainer needs to be full for optimal brewing. Got it yesterday & made 1st cup of lovely cappuccino. & thats with (relatively) cheap Lavazza beans. It didnt disappoint my choice of a smaller pot for single servings.Well made, good quality & excellent coffee so what's not to like. Feels like it might actually last a lifetime as well & despite what I read, this 4 cup version does fine on an induction stove. Highly reccomendedCaveat: Do some homework on the how to's on moka pot techniques or coffee can be bitter. Dont say I didnt warn ya
Ottima mokka
