I originally looked at buying a grip/trigger costing over 8 times as much but hesitated when I realised that I would be unable to carry on using its protective cover for 2 reasons. The new cover would not protect my lenses and it relied on magnetism to hold in place. The Kiwifoto device allows me to use my existing protective cover while holding my iPhone firmly. It was easy to link to my phone by Bluetooth and is super value.

Once you have it set up it is a useful aid for taking photos on your phone. It provides stability and works great with the shutter control.

So far I’m really impressed, just got it couple days ago so fingers crossed, I shall edit my review if I find faults in future. I get it that someone said it’s too small for their hands but it’s perfect for those with medium sized hands like me. I have iPhone 15 pro and just about stretches to it. Blue tooth connection is great. Comes with battery but separate so, look for it in the box. It also comes with lanyard for hand grip. I don’t need it as I have one on my phone. I don’t really want to remove it from my phone because it makes holding my phone so much easier on my hands plus it acts also as a stand, trouble is it makes it bulky for pocket or small bag. Also if I leave it on phone I can no longer charge using wireless though not really a problem because I can still access wire charging. So hopefully this information helps with your decision. BTW i like that it’s super lightweight.

I've had this handgrip for about a week using it on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The plus side is that is a nice tight fit so I'm not worried about my phone falling out. Also the grip is a nice size for my hands. Pairing the grip to the phone was straightforward. The negatives are that the grip keeps turning itself off and also loses the pairing to the phone, I'm not sure why it is doing this but I suspect it might be the battery, I have not yet got a replacement battery and soon as I obtain one will try it. My friend has a different model and his seems to work fine.

I wasn't expecting much given the low price, but I've been surprised by just what a handy and sturdy little product this is. Yes, it's basic but it's also well made and so easy to use. Highly recommended.

This would easily be 5 star if the spring mechanism enabled you to keep a simple case on the iPhone 14 Pro Max without struggling to get it on. It goes on, but it is a tight fit.The Bluetooth works well and seems reliable from a distance.It makes taking photos easier than pressing the virtual button on the screen and makes one handed photo taking a doddle, especially useful for street photography. Also you can keep the detachable remote bit in your pocket and use it to fire the shutter without putting the big attachment on your phone which is useful sometimes.Overall four and a half stars, and worth the money if it lasts. I will update the review in the future if there are any problems.

The Hand Grip Holder is a superbly well designed and manufactured product, Substantially made, but light in weight, it fits onto the iPhone easily and securely. The right hand side of the grip has an ergonomically designed handle that is very similar to that used on high end single lens reflex cameras. At the top of the unit is the shutter release button which is part of the removable remote control. The supplied CR2025 battery fits into the controller , which is then paired by Bluetooth with the iPhone.The controller may be used attached to the holder or used remotely to trigger the camera shutter at a distance of up to 10m. Also included is a cold shoe which may be used to attach an extra light or microphone, and a threaded location to attach a tripod.All in all, a remarkable accessory that will be invaluable to all who wish to take advantage of the imaging capabilities the Apple have built into the latest iPhones,
Simple and handy (pun semi-intended)
I am surprised of how well such a simple device feels. Perfect for those days in which I'll be taking a lot pf photos, using the phone more as a camera than as a phone. And when not, the remote is perfect for group selfies.The one thing that worries me is durability. The grip is a little on the tight side, so you have to really pull to be able to insert the phone, so I am afraid it will break soon if used heavily. If that happens, you'll see an update. If not, it's because all is good.
Great photo tool
I ended up buying another one of these for my client. I just love this tool. It clamps on easily to any smartphone. The Blu-tooth connection is easy to activate. I love that remote button on it. My client loves that it is also a tripod mount. It is durable, comfortable to grip. I recommend it to all my clients who I teach how to use their smartphone cameras. It simply makes your phone feel more camera-like.
Haltegriff mit Fernbedienung
Die Fernbedienung noch nicht verwendet aber ausprobiert. Das Halten des iPhone beim Fotografieren wird damit leicht gemacht. Wunderbar geeignet für mein Ministativ. Bin rundherum zufrieden.

Werkt niet op alle smart phones
Het concept is fantastisch en je hebt een veel beter grip op je toestel. Maar...Op mijn nieuwe Oneplus 12 maakt hij verbinding volgens de telefoon maar werkt de shutterknop niet. Op een Motorola Action kun je hem verbinden maar neemt hij drie foto's met 1 druk op de knop wat ik niet kan verklaren. Op een Motorola edge 20 werkt de shutterknop wel zoals het hoort. Had hem gekocht voor mijn nieuwe Oneplus 12 maar dat is dus dikke pech.
