SUMMARYIt's a fantastic sounding budget amp with great power output.DETAILSWhat kind of a user am I?I don't claim to be an audiophile with many many years of experience but I do care about audio quality and I love trying different devices within a reasonable price range.I have tried several budget preamp/DACs/Amp/Integrated Amp combinations to this date and I will write my review based on my personal experience and comparisons.What is my set up?- A small room, everything on my desk with speakers close to me. Ceiling is high (3.5m)- A pair of Q Acoustics 3020i- Aiyima T8 headphone preamp/DAC- ifi Zen DAC v2- A Windows 10 PC with USB & Digital out- A mobile phone with bluetooth- Different audio streaming services with ultra quality / MQA outputWhat is included in the box?- 32V/5A UK power brick- A user manualWhat is not included in the box?- No kind of audio cable for connecting to the sourceBuild Quality- Looks beautiful and feels very solid- I like the compact design, it's very easy to place on your desk and under/over your DAC/preamp- Volume knob and power switch at the front feels very solid- Similarly input and output ports feel very solid at the backSetting up & connections- Very straight forward to set up. Just be careful to keep the power off when connecting to your speakers like normally you would do for any amp.Couple of things to mention about connections:- There is no subwoofer out, passive or active. However if you want to use this with a powered (active) subwoofer, you can use it as long as your subwoofer has the right ports (many of them do). Just run the output from A07 into your sub and then run its output to your speakers. A simple search online can lead to the guide.- There is a line in and also a 3.5mm input however there is no switch. The manual also says not to have them connected at the same time because they would run at the same time.Power outputAs I mentioned I use it to drive my speakers in a small room. Admittedly Q Acoustics are efficient and easy to drive but the power output can easily drive more difficult speakers. In terms of loudness, if I use this directly without a preamp, I can't go beyond 40% on the volume know before it starts getting uncomfortable that close and it can get very very loud if you turn up.32V seems to be very powerful for my setup. For more power hungry setups you can buy a 48V adapter or for lesser requirements you can go down to 24V. However reducing the power of the adapter may cause sound distortion at higher volumes so do your research.Sound qualityI used the device with 2 different methods:1- Connecting directly to my PC with line in2- Connecting my PC to my DACs through USB, BT and optical and RCA connection from DACs to A07.With line in it already sounds very clear and rich, if you go for full budget setup this is already it. It sounds beautiful and loud.However when you connect a DAC to A07 as a source, things get amazing. It sets a better sound stage, it gets more spacious, everything is clear and it sounds fantastic. I definitely recommend using a DAC with this thing for max benefit.Even comparing to more expensive amps I tried (up to 200£) and my well known brand 5.1 receiver for my home theatre setup, I experience no difference in music quality.This is of course personal at the end of the day. For my experience, I'm very happy with it and I don't feel differenceMy main combination is USB from PC to a DAC and RCA connecting from that DAC to this A07. Overall this is a very compact, efficient, budget friendly and high quality setup for my taste.CONCLUSIONFor convenience it would have been nicer to have a active sub out so that you wouldn't have had to deal with additional setup and paying for more cables but I'm guessing they have to cut costs from somewhere.Adding a passive sub out would probably require a more expensive device and that's not the point here.The point is, this thing sounds just amazing and at this price it's a no brainer. Best price / performance I got from a budget amp.

I bought this amp to make a small stereo for my bedroom. I used an A07 Amp with some Cambridge Audio Min12 Speakers and a Bluetooth Dac from iFi. It's perfect for listening to audio streamed from my phone on YouTube Music, or Spotify or something like that. I also use it to enhance the audio of my TV instead of having an expensive soundbar.The A07 is physically small amplifier but with plenty of power to drive desktop or bookshelf speakers. Because of the size you can put it anywhere very easily. It is very well made with a solid case and smooth rotary volume control. The speaker bindings are good quality and easy to use with banana plugs as well - I prefer these, they are neater and easier to use.The amp has a good sound - it has a rhythmic and controlled bass, transparent midtones and crystal clear treble without any harshness. It suits my smaller room very well but can work in bigger spaces too. It will play loud enough for most normal listening. The amp is super easy to use and set-up, it doesn't run hot and the power supply you get with it is enough for most people in my opinion.In terms of inputs there are RCA and an aux line in - so its very easy to connect with almost anything you want.I recommend these amps for desktop and small room stereos - they are the best value you can find with excellent audio quality. They are perfect for any stereo project for example bedrooms, music for kids rooms, TV enhancement, home office- lots of different ideas where you want some music in your home without buying a big, expensive and complicated system.

Used for a day so far. Overall good amp. I'm using this to drive q acoustics concept 20 (6ohm 75-100w). Sound quality is pretty good, a bit bassy compared to my regular marantz amp, but a little adjustment in windows EQ can sort this out, maybe it needs to break in. Volume wise, it's loud enough at 50% and do not cut out like Fosi Audio V1.0B I tried before this. Build quality is very good, the case feels tight and solid connection fits snug and the volume knob is smooth with good markings. Happy so far.

I've been using a hefty, fairly high end, albeit old (pre-HDMI) 100W/ch Pioneer DTS AV Receiver to power 4 channel bookshelf speakers I use on my PC. It was big, and pulled 45W of power at idle. Based on Internet hype, I took the plunge and bought two of these. One is powering a set of Elac Debut b5.2 speakers, and the other a vintage set of Tannoy bookshelf speakers. I didn't have a need for EQ or anything to manipulate the sound, as that is done at source.I was entirely prepared for a step down in audio quality, moving from a giant like the Pioneer to this cheap amp. Oh how wrong I was, the sound was noticeably sharper and with better mid-range drive - note, using the same DAC to feed both. Power usage on idle is negligible, and having the amps on 8 hours a day, I'll break even on the electrical saving. They run warm, but not dangerously so. I power them off at the mains mostly, and there is no pop or noise generated when doing so.With the bundled 32V power supply, theses hardly break a sweat when powering the Elacs in a nearfield configuration.I haven't made much use of the secondary input/sub-out, although note that the signals are combined, so you shouldn't have two powered devices feeding into one amp at a time, if you want multiple inputs, you'll need something else, or something to sit in front of it to switch.The price is good, and you'll land up paying double even at clearance prices for a more traditional integrated amplifier. If you only have one input, then this is ideal.I do wonder now though, how much better things could be if I did buy a modern, expensive integrated amp...
Un vraie grande surprise
Sans être septique sur la qualité finale de ce petit ampli, je ne m'attendais pas à entendre sortir de ce petit boîtier accouplé à son petit transfo, un son si engageant ! Je l'ai comparé à un ampli Pioneer de 2 x 40w d'une douzaine d'années qui me semblait déjà produire un très bon son. Le AIYIMA A07 le dépasse assez nettement, comme s'il levait un voile pour faire ressortir la musique avec une clarté surprenante dans un très bel espace. Si le haut du spectre est cristal-clear, le grave lui, est bien présent et très bien contrôlé. Après cette expérience, je ne reviens plus au Pioneer bien qu'il soit nettement plus cossu et complet dans ses prestations... Attention tout de même, de par son extrême précision, il ne fera pas de concession si la source est agressive ou si les enceintes le sont également. C'est avant tout une écoute véridique sans rondeurs. Les watts sont également là et il donne très vite une impression de puissance, mais je ne saurais dire de combien de watts on a en réserve.La finition est excellente, rien à dire et si je vous dis que l’appareil ne consomme pas plus de 3 watts à volume normal (9H) avec des pointes à 4 watts (12H), on comprendra très vite que l’on est dans une consommation 10 fois moindre qu’avec un ampli conventionnel AB et pour un son meilleur ! De plus l’appareil ne chauffe pas mais si on adopte des fiches bananes, évitez les fiches coudées car l’espace arrière est insuffisant. Cette nouvelle génération d’amplis Chinois risque fort de faire de l’ombre aux gros amplis traditionnels en classe AB dont les prix ne cessent d’ailleurs d’augmenter. Très recommandé et merci Bolo pour nous proposer ce type de produit à de très bon prix.
Amazing stereo amplifier
Best quality stereo amplifier,I am using Polk t50 tower speaker,sound clarity amazing.also iam using 10amp power supply with 48 volt.so sound excellent.
By far the best VFM gadget i’ve ever used
I bought this almost 9 months back. I have a wharfedale diamond 12.2 costing 40K+ and people suggested all amps+dac combos costing more than that i could ever imagined. Checked with couple of amps that my friend’s had. But this amp effortlessly beat all others that’s way out of its price range. I wouldn’t compare this point to point with expensive one and i’m not right person also. But for me this sounds a lot fuller and clean and I like the way it drives thw wharfedales. I’ve paired it with a smsl dac. I use the provided 36v 6a adapter.
Goed maar niet goed genoeg.
Genoeg vermogen, enorm helder super dynamisch en detail rijk geluid.Echter gebrek aan druk in de lage frequenties en controle over lage impedanties.Aanbevolen voor speakers met tot maximaal 6,5 inch woofer.Aanbevolen gebruik van een voorversterker om het volle vermogen te kunnen benutten.Voor mij persoonlijk net niet goed genoeg en dus retour.

Neben dem Amp liegen in der Schachtel noch ein Netzteil und die kurze Anleitung, die man nicht wirklich braucht. Die wenigen Anschlüsse erklären sich (bis auf vielleicht den Subwoofer Ausgang) selbst.Das mitgelieferte Netzteil hat 32V / 5A / 160W. Angesichts der 2x300W, mit denen das Gerät beworben wird, mag das zunächst wenig klingen. Tatsächlich passt das Netzteil aber durchaus gut zum Gerät und bietet in Kombination mehr als genug Leistung für die meisten Nutzer. Zunächst einmal akzeptiert der A07 Netzteile mit Spannungen von 24 bis 48 Volt. Die angegebenen maximal 2x300W gelten an 4 Ohm in Verbindung mit einem Netzteil mit 48V und 10A. Man kann einen TPA3255 Amp auch tatsächlich mit dieser Leistung betreiben. Allerdings kostet ein qualitativ hochwertiges Netzteil dieser Leistungsklasse alleine schon deutlich mehr als der hier behandelte Amp. Dazu sind bei dieser Leistung auch entsprechende Kühlmaßnahmen (massiver Kühlkörper + aktive Lüfter) zwingend erforderlich. Und auch dann läuft so ein Amp immer noch bei unrealistischen 10% Klirrfaktor, was kaum ein Lautsprecher schadlos überstehen dürfte.In der Praxis und ohne massive Kühlung sind daher Netzteile im Bereich von 32 bis 36 Volt sehr viel besser geeignet, um einem Amp wie dem A07 immer noch mehr als ausreichend Leistung bei angenehm niedrigem Klirrfaktor zu entlocken.Neben dem mitgelieferten Netzteil habe ich den A07 noch mit einem ebenfalls von Aiyima stammenden 36V 5A Netzteil betrieben. In beiden Fällen war viel mehr Leistung vorhanden, als mein Gehör bei ca. 2m Hörabstand zu meinen Elac Debut 2.0 b6.2 Boxen ohne Gehörschaden aushalten könnte. Dazu blieb der A07 mit diesen Netzteilen auch angenehm kühl (was der Lebensdauer der Chips zu Gute kommt). Das geschlossene Gehäuse ohne Kühlschlitze und ohne aktive Kühlung passt damit gut zu diesen Netzteilen. Im Alltag braucht man realistisch oft nur eine Leistung von vielleicht 0.25 bis 25 Watt RMS. Der A07 hat da mehr als genug Reserven.Gehäuse, Bedienung & AnschlüsseDer A07 Pro hat ein gut verarbeitetes und stabiles Metallgehäuse. Kühlschlitze sind nicht vorhanden, das Metallgehäuse leitet aber auch einen gewissen Teil der Hitze nach außen. Der Kühlkörper ist für die genannten Netzteile ordentlich dimensioniert. Im Betrieb konnte ich entsprechend keine übermäßige Wärmeentwicklung feststellen.Auf der Front finden sich die beiden einzigen Bedienelemente des A07 – der angenehm old school Feeling verbreitende Kipphebel zum Ein- und Ausschalten und das Lautstärke Poti, das aus Metall besteht. Beim Einschalten macht der A07 auch bei hohen Lautstärkeeinstellungen keine nennenswerten Geräusche, was die Lautsprecher schont.Auf der Geräterückseite sind dann die Anschlüsse:2x Cinch / RCA Eingang für die Klangquelle2x Plus- und Minuspol der Lautsprecherausgänge3.5mm Klinke Ausgang für den SubwooferNetzteilanschluss (24 – 48 Volt)Wer die Lautsprecherkabel an die vorhandenen Klemmen anschließen möchte, sollte unbedingt (!) darauf achten, dass die Kabelenden sich nicht berühren. Ansonsten droht Kurzschluss und der Tod der Lautsprecher. Da die Klemmen ohnehin nur recht schmale Kabel aufnehmen können, empfehle ich die Verwendung von Bananensteckern. Da können dann auch dickere Kabel angeschlossen und kinderleicht in den Amp eingesteckt werden. Ich würde mindestens 2.4mm starke Kabel empfehlen, die sollten es in der Leistungs- und Klangklasse schon sein.Negativ empfinde ich, dass der Netzteilanschluss nicht beschriftet ist. Da gehören die zulässigen Leistungsdaten und die Polung aufgedruckt.Klang & LeistungKommen wir zum wichtigsten Punkt eines Amps – dem Klang.Für alles, was im Folgenden beschrieben wird, gilt wie bei allen meinen Reviews folgender Hinweis:Meine Bewertung berücksichtigt bewusst die Preisklasse, in der sich der A07 und auch die verwendeten Lautsprecher bewegen. Es geht um einen Amp für aktuell knapp unter 100 Euro (incl. Netzteil), der an Lautsprechern für um die 200 Euro (Paarpreis) betrieben wird. Also ein Gesamtpaket für ca. 300 Euro. Das bedeutet nicht, dass ich bereit wäre, dafür schlechte Qualität in Kauf zu nehmen. Wenn mir etwas nicht gefällt, wird das auch erwähnt und kritisiert. Aber ich erwarte nicht die gleiche Klangqualität wie bei einer Kombo, die mehrere tausend Euro kostet.Als Klangquelle für mein Review kam mein guter alter Cyberhome CH-DVD 635 zum Einsatz, dessen RCA Out ich mit qualitativ guten Kabeln direkt am A07 angeschlossen habe. Die Elac Debut b6.2 Lautsprecher sind mit selbst gefertigten Kupferkabeln mit 2,4mm Querschnitt und Bananensteckern angeschlossen. Die Verkabelung ist der Qualität und Leistung der Kombination aus Amp und Boxen angemessen. Meine brandneuen Elac Debut Reference DBR62 konnte ich leider noch nicht am A07 testen. Angesichts der tollen Ergebnisse an den hier verwendeten Debut 2.0 b6.2 Boxen freue ich mich aber schon darauf, was der A07 an diesen Boxen klanglich zu bieten haben wird.Die Kombination aus Aiyima A07 Pro und den Elac Boxen hat mir schon beim ersten Song ein Grinsen auf's Gesicht gezeichnet. Zunächst sollte ich allerdings darauf hinweisen, dass ich Musiker bin und auch in einem gewissen Rahmen Musikproduktion betreibe. Ich höre Musik üblicherweise analytisch. Daher bevorzuge ich einen eher neutralen, linearen und möglichst wenig gefärbten Klang.Die Elacs haben den Ruf, im uneingespielten Zustand (was auf meine noch recht neuen Boxen zutrifft) etwas schwach im Bassbereich zu sein. Davon konnte am A07 keine Rede sein. Die Boxen haben für meinen Geschmack genau den richtigen Bassanteil, solange die Klangquelle entsprechend gut produziert ist. Einen schlechten Mix mit zu wenig Bass decken die Elacs dann aber tatsächlich sofort schonungslos auf, das klingt dann entsprechend dünn und kraftlos, wo typische Hifi-Boxen mit ihrer Überbetonung im Bass (und bei den Höhen) das eher noch kaschieren.Aber mit gut gemachten Aufnahmen waren die Elacs am A07 auch im Bass unheimlich spielfreudig und trotzdem präzise. Natürlich ist Tiefbass nicht die Domäne der Elacs, dafür reichen sie nicht tief genug und ein entsprechend dimensionierter Subwoofer wird Pflicht. Aber normale Bässe kommen angenehm warm, kraftvoll und rund rüber. Kickbässe haben den nötigen Punch und kommen wunderbar trocken und knackig rüber.Auch die Höhen enttäuschten nicht. Der A07 löste an den Elacs die Höhen wunderbar präzise auf und trotz klarer Höhen war der Klang nie anstrengend. Man kann stundenlang ohne Ermüdungserscheinungen genussvoll Musik auch auf hörerer Lautstärke hören. Darin liegt eine der Stärken praktisch aller von Andrew Jones entwickelten Elac Boxen, weshalb ich auch sehr bedaure, dass diese Legende des Boxendesigns inzwischen die Marke wieder gewechselt hat. Die Produkte des neuen Arbeitgebers von Andrew Jones liegen leider weit außerhalb meines Preislimits. Der A07 arbeitete die Stärken der Elac Boxen wunderbar heraus und die Kombination machte einfach Spaß.Die Räumlichkeit war im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten der Elac Boxen ebenfalls hervorragend. Den Debut 2.0 b6.2 sagt man zurecht nach, dass sie kein sehr breites Klangbild haben. Der Klangraum endet bei den Boxen, während andere Boxen die Stage noch darüber hinaus erweitern. Dafür war die Räumlichkeit innerhalb des Klangbilds aber überzeugend. Stimmen und Instrumente waren räumlich klar zu orten und schön voneinander getrennt. Als Musiker weiß ich, wie sich Instrumente an typischen Amps anhören und beim A07 hatte ich mit den richtigen Aufnahmen mehr als einmal bei geschlossenen Augen das Gefühl, direkt mit den Musikern und ihrem Gear auf der Bühne zu stehen. Dabei zeigt der A07 auch sonst keine Schwächen. Auch Gesang, Schlagzeug und Naturinstrumente liefert er absolut überzeugend ab.Spaßeshalber habe ich dann noch die Omaha Beach Szene aus Saving Private Ryan über die Kombo laufen lassen. Obwohl es nur in Stereo war, war die Klangkulisse dennoch eindrucksvoll und bei den Explosionen empfand ich einmal mehr den Bass der Elac Boxen als so ganz und gar nicht zu schwach.In Kombination mit guten Boxen hat der A07 einiges zu bieten. Für einen Amp dieser Preisklasse ist das sehr eindrucksvoll und man muss schon wirklich tief in die Tasche für Amp und Lautsprecher greifen, wenn man das nochmal deutlich übertreffen will.Zum Schluss nochmal kurz die Pros und Cons des A07 zusammengefasst:+ toller Klang+ Preis/Leistung+ Ein/Aus Switch+ Metallgehäuse und Verarbeitung+ kein lautes Knacken beim Einschalten auf hoher Lautstärke+ Netzteil gut zur Leistung gewählt- fehlende Beschriftung des NetzteileingangsDer A07 ist gemessen am Preis ein einfach verdammt gut klingender kleiner Amp. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Absolut minimalistisch eben, eine Klangreglung oder zusätzliche Eingänge gibt es nicht. Wer die braucht, sollte mal den A08 Pro oder den A07 Pro anschauen oder einfach einen entsprechenden Pre-Amp oder DAC verwenden. Der A07 beschränkt sich währenddessen darauf, einfach nur möglichst gut zu klingen. Wer mehr Klang auf zwei Kanälen will, muss deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen und auch das ist keine Garantie. Der A07 steckt selbst so manchen Amp aus dem vierstelligen Preisbereich klanglich in die Tasche.
