I use these on a pedal board - I'm always nervous about relying on batteries in foot pedals as I wouldn't want to have to change batteries mid-gig. They work well, and other guys in the band have bought them since.

This works fine for my needs but the cable is, at the time of writing this review, being advertised as 150cm long, whereas it is actually 90cm long. So just be aware, if that length works for you then this still seems like a decent adapter, but if you’re after the longer cable steer clear of this one.
