5.0 out of 5 stars Very cozy looking and excellent heater
The MONHOUSE Oscillating Tower Fan Heater is powerful, stylish, and ideal for quick, even heating with a cozy fireplace effect. The LCD display, remote, and safety features like overheat protection and a tip over switch make it convenient and worry free. It’s surprisingly quiet and blends seamlessly into any room. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, portable heater
4.0 out of 5 stars Don’t use oscillate function
This heater works really well, it’s nice and toasty warm and the fake fire is pretty. It warms my place up really quickly. However I strongly advice you not to use the oscillator function. I’ve bought this twice and both times it has broken a month or so after purchase. It kept turning itself off when rotating and shortly afterwards stopped working completely. I’ve had to open it up to see what issue is only to find a very short wire, that’s attached to the rotating base, has snapped and had to repair. Works again now fine but I fear that wire is too short for the oscillating function and I dare not use the function again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wow
This is a great product, it complements the central heating when it's cold outside and you don't want to turn the heating up. It's just the right size for my living room and the flames look real and that makes it more comforting
1.0 out of 5 stars Led fire not working
A faulty item has been sent to me. It's clear someone else already had this problem with the item bcause I wondered why the remote etc was not in the plastic bags they were clearly for. With out the led fire is just cheap noisy tat

5.0 out of 5 stars A Really Good Heater
I have had this Monhouse heater for about three weeks now and I thought I would hang back from giving it a review any sooner as there has been a few negative reviews and I wanted to give it a good test. As far as I am concerned this seems to be a really good product and has worked faultlessly since I have had it, which has included one of the coldest spells of weather the UK has experienced in recent years. The heater has been in place at the far end of a very large room where the heat from the conventional central heating radiator, which is situated at the other end hardly reaches. This tower heater is easy to control and gives out a lot of heat for its size, and for the money its build quality is also pretty good. Assembling the base was a bit of a fiddle as the fixing screws are quite small but its easy enough really. If you wanted to use the heater on a soft tufted carpet it might be wise to stand it on a wooden board to prevent the safety cut-out from being hampered, and also it would make the heater more stable and safer to use. As mine sits directly onto the room’s wooden flooring its fine. Once it is set onto the full heat output - i.e. at least three degrees above the room’s present ambient temperature, (which is indicated on the front panel of the heater), the heat output is as good as any normal fan heater but the bonus is that it heats up far quicker. I have found that at full blast this 2000W heater reaches the set room temperature much sooner than a conventional 2000W fan heater. Therefore this has led me to believe that this heater is a lot more efficient than a normal type of fan heater but this is only a guess. The novelty fire illumination is also quiet impressive. All in all, I am really satisfied with my purchase. By the way a very similar model to this heater was sold in B&M stores under the Blaupunkt brand (model No. 372593) but I think that the Monhouse heater maybe an updated version as the controls are different.
3.0 out of 5 stars Permanent Digital Display is a no no
I have three Monhouse heaters which perform well so I thought The Tower with its flame effect option would provide a. more heat in my larger space and b. be fun. Unfortunately unlike the smaller heaters the digital temperature display does not disappear after three minutes. So what you have when you engage the flame effect is a simulated fire and a digital display at the top of the heater telling you how hot it is, permanently, and it looks ridiculous. With the smaller heaters, after the digital display has cut out, I can find how hot the room has become by pushing any button on the remote to engage the digital display, then it quickly disappears. I cannot understand why Monhouse did not work out that a permanent digital display and flame effect were not compatible. When assembling the heater I found that even after screwing the base in as tight as the screws would go it was still wobbly. I understand Monhouse is a new company and I wish them well, but The Tower needs a rethink.
