We have a 2015 Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 diesel which my wife loves. My children also have cars and always seem to park them in inaccessible locations before killing the battery expecting the jump leads to preform witchcraft. The thing is with short journeys and loads of electronic equipment in/on the car it kills the battery. My wife and young son have been stranded a couple of times waIting for me or the RAC to get to them due to a dead battery (1yr old yuassa with 5yr warranty, nothing up with it)I've been looking to get something to keep in the car just in case, this NOCO Boost X GBX55 is ideal as its good for all our car engine sizes.I ordered it on Bolo (the cheapest place by miles) and expected it to be as good as all the reviews suggest. We'll it was delivered rapidly and well packaged (not excessive) from the minute I opened the box I knew I was in safe hands. Its very well made and of great quality.I have put it on charge and will see how well it performs when my wife or one of the kids next get stranded. I have no doubt it will do its job, some are moaning and I can only assume they have either not read the manual or have other issues.....Update.....It works, a flat battery on a cold morning prompted a phone call to me from the wife in a panic she was going to miss a hospital appointment. I asked her to look in the boot for the noco booster which has been there forgotten about since we purchased it. Still fully charged might I add....After a couple of minutes talking through what to do the car was running...Happy wife who said its one of the best things we've purchased. on the evening I just topped up the charge and its back in the boot if needed again. It's an expensive initial outlay but it's worth it in my opinion 10/10 for the noco GBX55, shame there is no hard case available....

I used a Suaoki P4 before and was very disappointed that it never worked to successful jump start my (smaller) van. I now have a Transit Mk8 2018 2.0L & as a solo female who is building my van and plans to live in it soon, I wanted something reliable that could jump start me on the inevitable occasion that the battery got flattened (it always eventually does... no matter how careful you are for the most part)I did some research and settled on this one - I know it's somewhat overkill and I can't recall exactly what pushed me towards this model. Regardless I appreciate the neat design with the place for the clips. to clamp on for tidy storage. It was ~£185 at time of purchase and whilst not cheap I think it is well worth it.I have only charged this up once and then it has been tucked in my glovebox for a year until today. I'm not sure what happened but somehow my battery ended up completely flat with the engine not turning over at all. Thought I'd try this, thinking it probably wouldn't work... but it started instantly! Amazing!The battery not only has been stored for a year, but has contended with sub zero and over 40°C heat in the van at times.I can highly recommend. This was such a quick and faff-free solution that got me up and running quickly and without help. In a difference situation it could be a lifesaver. I think the GBX45 will be sufficient for most vans however & will save £50 or so.

I have not used this in anger yet but bought this seeing as there are additional cars in the household now with my daughter learning to drive. I have had my 2.0tdi VW Transporter let me down with a flat battery and a previous jump starter fail to start it. So with the specs of the Noco gbx55 being able to supposedly start a 5.0 Diesel engine, then this jump pack should hopefully start my VW and daughters Seat Ibiza no problem. It appears solid, well made and easy to use(seen loads of YouTube videos).I did note in some of the reviews people complaining o. How long it can take to recharge the jump pack. Prior to buying, I bought a dedicated USB C 65w laptop charger(also from Bolo). The Gbx55 straight out the box was only half charged. So armed with my charger I plugged it into the Noco. Less than a hour later I have a solid green light on the Noco.So as the title states….get a dedicated 65w USB C charger.Just to add….. it’s a pity the Noco doesn’t come with the hard shell case, rather than having to fork out another £30 to get one. For how much the unit costs, it should come with one. Seeing as cheaper jump starters come with decent cases

Functionally great unit, almost idiot proof. Despite it's tiny size it has started my old Land Rover 8 times before it dropped one battery level. Charged it overnight using a normal usb wall socket no problem at all (and you can charge it from the car when you've started it). Only real gripe is that the plastic protecting the copper clips has already broken on two corners. It doesn't effect the function or safety but it doesn't bode well for something less than a week old. Overall though a great bit of kit

I brought this and have used it 3 times to jump start a car and it is now dead and dosnt charge or anything it was stored in a dry toolbox in a garage haven’t even had it a year

I had a GB40, which in theory should have been enough to start my car, but in practice was a bit hit or miss (it’s a diesel and a bit of a hard start). I ordered this one after the GB40 failed, and it started right up. Happy to now have a more reliable backup for those times when I haven’t driven enough to keep the battery topped up.

Very good bit of kit. 8 used it to start our 3.0d sport jaguar and our 33 year old 2.5 turbo diesel motorhome without having to recharge it. Very good compact size. I cannot recommend this enough
Started Completely Dead Battery
We have an older hobby vehicle that tends to sit for long periods and need a jump. Even with a completely dead battery, this device started it right up no problem! You get multiple starts from one charge, too. Very easy to use and feels safe. I think everyone should have one of these in their vehicles, it's so much better than jumper cables for so many reasons! Easier, safer, and don't need another vehicle. Alternator goes out, you can still jump your way to a destination in many cases. Well worth the money and this is a reliable and user-friendly brand.

Awesome jump starter
Used this to start a mercedes 280 that was sitting for 2 years during covid.Battery was dead and not recognized, used override and it jumped to life.Still cant believe it, great device.Plastic did chip off the clips as others have stated, but doesn’t seem to affect performance.

es la hostia, me fui de vacaciones, y me quede con 2 coches sin bateria. Un toyota rav hibrido, y un toyota fj cruiser (4.000 gasolina V6) . Los arranque a la primera, además es muy rápido para recargarse, y las pinzas supercomodas, os recomiendo comprar el cargador del mechero, porque así despues de arrancarlo recargar el mismo NOCO en el propio coche... Y por supuesto, la funda, que es una pasada.

Suite à des problèmes de batterie, avec ce booster la voiture démarre aussitôt !Je recommande vivement ! Y’en a des moins chers dans la marque, mais moins puissants !J’ai préféré prendre le plus puissant !
