5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to do
I'm really pleased with this bread maker. Only making wholemeal bread so far, but with great results. Tastes better than shop-bought stuff. Loading the ingredients and switching it on takes less time than going to our local shop.
5.0 out of 5 stars So Far, Brilliant
We had a different well-known make of breadmaker quite a few years ago. It took my wife msny attempts to get the ingredients just right so the loaf would not be like a brick. Eventually she sorted it, but the paddle used to stick in and subsequently the spindle just got too stiff to turn at all. We stuck it in a cupboard for some time but when I needed the space I decided the local tip would have more use for it.After some deliberation and reading the reviews on here I bought this model. So glad I did. From day one the loaves came out prefectly with no messing about. Just followed the instructions for a medium size 2 hour loaf and the result was perfect every time, even with different flours.. And it smells great while cooking. First loaf cost cost £124 plus ingredients but the unit cost is coming down with every loaf. Then of course there's the convenience of getting a great loaf without going to the supermarket for a poorer substitute.
4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Machine
Truthfully - I have had a Panasonic bread maker before and found it extremely good, but eventually after many many many good years parted with it. Then I went back to baking my own bread for about 12 years which I do very well with all my loaves. But the time again arrived when I wanted to return to the good old bread maker and new that Panasonic was once again up in the top machine category. So decided on this machine, after about four weeks I can say that this is a truly very good machine and consistently turns out a lovely loaf of bread with very little effort on my part. My son who has been a top chef in his time and didn't experience my first bread maker, has been very impressed indeed. Ok, the news is all good and I would most certainly be buying this machine again. I do however, have one grumble and others have mentioned this as well, the LCD screen which does work perfectly can be, in certain lights, hard to see. For instance my machine is in our utility room in a corner and is shielded from natural light, so I literally a keep a torch handy for those few seconds while I press the buttons - would I change this machine because of it, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Enjoy it, it's amazing. This is a totally independent review HONESTLY!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
both for baking bread, and for making dough without getting hands sticky; use the right flour and it will prove fine and tip out into a cast iron pot for baking in oven, without losing bulk; give it extra rise time thoughthis replaces a previous model we had, worth every pennyto the reviewer who said: The instructions tell you to add the yeast first, but this would mean that it would be in the water from the start - er, no, the instruction tell you to add the yeast, then the flour on top, then the water/salt etc, works for me
5.0 out of 5 stars Replacing a worn out model
We needed to replace a worn out Panasonic Breadmaker. It had been used constantly for a least just over ten years. We have had to replace a few parts & when the "Black Friday" deals came up the breadmaker was a very attractive price so we didn't hesitate. We certainly were not disappointed, there has been a few modifications for the better. Bread has come out well, so very happy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
I bought this to replace/update from a panasonic breadmaker which had been used for the past 10 years and was still going strong. This has been superb and feels that it will still be going in 10 years. It makes superb bread with a host of features, some of which I'll probably never need.A good buy.
5.0 out of 5 stars works well
It makes very nice bread
3.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed
I have had a Panasonic bread maker for 8 years and never had a problem. I bought the more modern version R2530 and gave my old one to a friend and used the new model for the first time today and total disaster. Large hole in the loaf, sides burnt. I had phoned the Panasonic recipe help centre as the recipe I had used for the past 8 years wasn’t in the new recipe book and they told me which one to use instead so perhaps they got it wrong.Wish I hadn’t bothered.
Real fresh bread .
Fantastic bread maker.
