5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely brilliant bit of kit
The media could not be loaded. I’ve never owned an air purifier before, but after reading that they could help alleviate night-time wheezes and sneezes, I figured I’d give it a go.I’m very impressed. Almost immediately the air felt cleaner. As I use it in my bedroom, I wanted a unit that was quiet, and I’m sure they don’t come quieter than this. There’s a night time function which I can’t even hear whilst stood right next to the unit. Fan 1 is slightly louder, and same with Fan 2, slightly louder again. Fan speed 3 is loud, around 48db, but unless you purposefully select it, or have it on Auto-mode in a particularly “polluted” environment, then you’ll never even notice it’s on.The Air Quality Indicator is a great addition, and works really well. I thought I might have had a faulty unit, as the AQI was constantly red, even when using Fan 3. I set it to Fan 2 and went to sleep. Turns out it was detecting vape particulates in the air, because after waking up, the AQI was blue (indicating good air quality); the unit had cleaned the air whilst I was asleep and obviously hadn’t been vaping. As soon as I breathed out a couple of lung fulls of vape, the AQI was red. Now I know how it works properly, I’ll have it on Auto during the day if I’m in my room. It might sound silly but that AQI is a great behavioural nudge, allowing me to be more mindful about how often I pick up the vape and have a blast. For £99, it’s certainly not the cheapest air purifier on here, but I’m glad I bought this one. The design is minimalist and unobtrusive; and with a power draw of between 2-10watts depending on your settings, you can leave it run continuously for pennies.
5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best
This air purifier is one of the best on the market. Superb airflow performance, purifies really quick and is very quiet, night mode is 99% of the way to being silent. The purifier is quite large and heavy so ideally would sit in the corner of a room or on a sturdy shelf.Great value for money and easy to use.10/10
4.0 out of 5 stars Works in free space but with limits
I find this a useful machine but with limitations. These are as follows. In a bedroom in which one half is obstructed by a double bed the machine may not be effective for the area beyond it. Using two in the same room may not be advised. You may notice in the demonstration video the floor has no carpet. There is more dust in a room with carpets, beds, pillows, cushions and couches and fabric backed chairs. I did not find this machine picked up and illiminated dust on any speed. This still settled on surfaces. But, I did find when visited by people with colds I did not catch them so it may well work on these. It certainly clears the air if you over heat a mince pie in your microwave for example but, not in 30 minutes. Took a bit longer than that but it did. Conclusion. A small, inobrusive and reasonably quiet HEPA air filter but with reservations. All air purifiers sold in the UK should comply with safety air processing standards.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love this product!
Excellent air purifier, picks up stuff from the other side of the room so great sensor and air feels lighter/cleaner. The nightmode is completely silent and dims any lights so it doesn't disturb you. I would be lost without this, 100% recommend it for a fraction of the cost of a Dyson! Same results though!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good product. Good company. Recommend.
This is my 1st air purifier, I really like it, its easy to use and quiet. Most importantly you can feel a difference in air quality, and the air sensor is excellent.
3.0 out of 5 stars Form over function
Having been both surprised it worked & impressed with the Levoit 300s; being sceptical but desperate to banish embarrassing odours of my robot cat litter robot, that seem to leave a lingering smell no matter how clean I keep it), I decided to buy this Blueair purifier to have a 2nd one for downstairs. So, I bought this & swapped it over, just to see if there were any difference other than this Blueair being lighter & better looking.Sadly, what I quickly noticed, was a slight return of cat litter smell. Not as bad as without a purifier, but definitely led me to realise that this unit just wasn’t as good.On paper, they should both have performed equally as had similar stats & price points. I only bought this rather than another Levoit because of its looks but sadly it has proven to be a prettier shell without the substance. Thus, the Blueair is now being returned.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Air purifier
So pleased I purchased this, it 's neat nice to look at and does an excellent job. I use it every night on the night mode setting and it's so quiet, the air feels refreshingly clean, feel I sleep better
4.0 out of 5 stars Effective Air Purifier
I like it very much because it works! No longer sneezing and using lots of tissues in the morning. However, when you have a fan on overnight, because of the hot weather, it seems to interfere with the overall air quality somehow. My only criticism is that the controls are not great - you have to press x amount of times up to five for various settings. I do that but don’t always find my taps register and I don’t get the required setting. You do get there in the end but it seems a rather low tech way of controlling the unit. However, it has made such a difference to start the day without snuffling as if you have a cold that I very quickly wouldn’t be without it.
I'm happy enough with them
Only thing, the filters Bolo (or whoever) recommended I buy don't fit so I had to cut it. Not impressed at all with this.
I would not recommend it.
Uk power plug sold in Australia and the power on and off bottom difficult to control.
