5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality tool
Great little tool to keep in the car. Very compact, extremely accurate and memory presets were useful. It too about 10 minutes to inflate 4 tyres from 35 psi to 40psi. I used my inflator in the Middle East and the ambient temperature was 41 degrees. It inflated all my tires on a full charge, with some ease. Great device and excellent quality. Good value for money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pump
Great pump for my motorbike compact and easy to use
4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous little gadget.
This has been used numerous times for car and bicycle tyres, and motor scooter tyres. It comes with a light, easy to use instructions. Once you have set your pressure, you press go and it automatically stops when the desired pressure is reached. It is easy to recharge via USB and could be recharged in the car as you are driving. If you have a USB port/adapter. It can also be used as a power bank to charge mobile phones/tablets etc, and may come in handy at festivals and camping events too. This may seem a pricey piece of kit, though I have seen it on offer a few times for around the £30 mark, I would consider this as value for money and I am very pleased with my purchase. Would recommend. Service was great and was packaged well.
5.0 out of 5 stars How many wasted hours? Until now!
I've not done much reviewing on here for a bit, but this little fella just made me do it! Over the last 18 months I have had nothing but problems with 3 of my 4 wheels on my Honda CRV. 2 full sets of brand new tyres and still the same 3 tyres deflate 10-20psi over a 3-4 week period. I've been using an inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter and it has taken well over 1 hour every few weeks!I saw the Ring Automotive RTC2000 on one of my feeds and thought it might save me moving my existing inflator to the front and then plugging it into to the rear adapter to do the back tyres. Well, it saved me more. I had 1 tyre that was down 3psi, 1 was down 5psi and 1 that was down 9psi. It took just under 10 minutes to do all 3!! I know it was the first time I've used it but it already saved me a ton of time. The operation is much quieter than my other device, the display is plenty bright enough, the readings show the pressure going up by 0.5psi at a time and the built in memory functions are very simple to use. The light seems perfectly bright to me and the added bonus of using the device to charge your other USB devices is definitely a bonus. The only issue I had, that is not a fault of the device, is that the threaded nozzle that goes onto the tyre can let a tiny bit of air out as you are screwing it on to the tyre. I'd read this on another review so I ordered these Wandou 4 Pcs Brass Tire Air Chucks at the same time https://www.Bolo.co.uk/gp/product/B07YJLW4LF. They allow you to screw them onto the adapter and then squeeze the clip open, push on to tyre and release the clip to hold it in place. It took less than a second to fix it on to a tyre.I have no idea how long this Ring Automotive RTC2000 will last, but it feels like a very sturdy and solid unit. Well done Ring.** Update 15/8/2022 **Got home from holiday at the weekend and 2 tyres needed topping up. 2 minutes into it and the unit made a loud pop and grinding noise and loads of dark smoke starting billowing out of it. It's now dead. Gutted as it had worked flawlessly until now. I've probably used it around 15-20 times. :(
1.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate pressure display
SO DISAPPOINTED!!This rechargeable unit seemed to be the ideal replacement for an old (still working) 12v corded pump.I have had Ring products in the past and these are still working well, so I had every expectation that this tyre inflator would be very good. Not so!! on first use it was a little fiddly to use but the with it's compact size and additional features, it was acceptable. THE ISSUE WAS THAT I HAD A TYRE NEEDINGONLY 4psi AS IT WAS READING151psi ON MY GUAGE (which I know to be accurate from experience) BUT THE RING UNIT SHOWED 140psi!!!Furthermore having tried to inflate the tyre, after about 1 minute the unit shut off with the display blank. I checked with my old quage and the pressure had increased to 153psi BUT the Ring inflator, when I eventually got it to work again, only showed 140psi.I may have just been unlucky with this item but I could not recommend it
5.0 out of 5 stars Emergency inflater
I sometimes use this to inflate my tyres even in my garage instead of using the compressor, however it has been invaluable when out on motorbike ride outs with a small group of other motorcyclists when on three separate occasions three of them got a puncture. We were able to plug the punctures and reinflate the tyres so that we could continue safely on to our destinations and then return home.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little portable tyre inflator
Great product which makes inflating tyres easier.Tech bit: Micro USB charge connector, 5,200mAh battery (which can also be used as a powerbank via USB socket), Inflator motor 67 Watt 18 Amp, PSI range 0-120, BAR 0-8.3, also has kPA, Weight 485g, 4 memories and 83dB. It's about the size of a large can of beer and comes with its own bag and cradle to mount it. Has a standard schrader valve and football adaptor.I really like the fact that you can just set the pressure and walk away as it stops automatically at the pressure you set or use from the 4 memories. Tested on a car tyre and inflated quick enough. With a 67W motor and a 19.24 W battery it looks like it would run constantly for about 18mins. There is no option to use it from a 12v supply but that's not the idea. Great product for adjusting the pressure on your tyres as its very portable and easy to use.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works great but charge indicator is weird.
Works great for topping up tyres, however the charge indicator is weird, it shows a battery with multiple segments but the segments never seem to reduce but the pump wouldn’t work until I charged it.
Tut was es soll
RTC2000 Digital Rechargeable Cordless Tyre Inflator Air Compressor
No more having to make a special trip to the gas station just to pump my tires up. Always had a problem trying to use a gas station pump on a motorcycle tyre, not any more 👍
