5.0 out of 5 stars Great for protein low fat low calorie
This is one of my favourite protein shakes. It’s a staple in my household. Mixes really well even without a spring in the shaker. I fling it on yoghurt and give it a mix easily too.Flavour is nice. Tastes quite creamy and it’s one of the lowest calorie carb and fat ones I have so great for macros. If you’re looking for something to bake with then this isn’t so great - you might want to try the vanilla instead…. It just leaves a funny aftertaste. But still a great product!!!Doesn’t clog or go lumpy and does what it says on the side. Like I said the protein content is higher than the vanilla flavour and other flavours I have.It comes with a scoop but depending on how much you pack it will depend on how accurate the weight is for you. Just don’t pack it in.Looks wise it’s nice and powdery looking. Super easy to use and goes with everything. Lasts ages too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely taste
What a great taste the coconut flavour is. Never tried this flavour of protein powder before. It makes a lovely change from the usually, strawberry, banana, chocolate ones. This product is such a good price. I have only used this once so far. I mixed it in an electric mixing shaker bottle and it still came out clumpy. Not sure why as the powder is nice and dry inside the tub and I previously had the strawberry one and that mixed fine. It may be just me though. Next time I will mix for longer. It does not bother me that it was clumpy though. It is easy to stomach as well. No after affects, no feeling unwell. Just a nice refreshing post workout drink. Highly recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
This was pretty tasty protein. It did the job with no ill side effects, I liked the ease of the tub and it came with a scoop, however it wasn't a very strong taste. Not too big of a deal when adding fruit etc, but a little disappointing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Coconut flavour rocks
Good stuff. I use 2 scoops with 300ml skimmed milk in a blender. Packs a hefty protein punch and as a brucey bonus might be the best tasting protein shake/smoothie that I've ever had. Surprisingly delicate, really nice if you enjoy coconut.Sealed well when I got it.I like this as a post workout shake. The 2 scoop solution gives me that 36g protein payload plus milk that crosses the threshold for protein synthesis which is what we like for growing big and strong.I mainly have it as a shake but I do like chucking a bit in oats or on yoghurt. I could probably inhale it and enjoy it though. All in all a great protein supplement. Just wish Bolo did bigger packs but at the same time I like to reserve it for a post lift treat so this is still a winner.
5.0 out of 5 stars I'm not well versed in protein powders but I really like this one
I've only ever used PhD diet whey so this is more a comparison review.PhD Diet Whey chocolate was really nice. Chocolate-y as much as it could've been given it's a protein powder.Warrior Whey protein is also nice; however, I bought the salted caramel flavour, received salted caramel, but all I can taste is vanilla. Don't get me wrong, I love vanilla, but. you know, I expected salted caramel.Sometimes I can get a very slight taste of caramel very briefly, but then it disappears like a fart in the wind. It's still nice to taste. The powder, not the fart.PhD Whey powder I did struggle to get rid of clumps even with vigorous shaking. I even tried to fluff the powder up with a fork once it was in my flask so the water could get between the powder but no matter, I'd always end up chewing some clumps.Warrior whey powder I've not had that issue with at all. Granted, I've only used it a few times, but it doesn't clump. It seems to froth a lot more than PhD but I don't know if that's a characteristic of the product of if I'm just going shake-weight hard putting bubbles in. Doesn't bother me, though.PhD whey powder would only fill me up for about 2-3 hours on two scoops with a spoonful of rolled oats in with it.Warrior whey powder fills me up for around twice that with a couple of spoonfuls of pinhead oats. Now, the variable here is the rolled vs pinhead oats. AFAIK, pinhead oats take longer to digest due to less surface area than rolled oats so this could be a factor. I have used Warrior powder without oats, and I believe I felt satiated longer than on PhD but I can't speak to it objectively as I wasn't paying attention to the time. Both powders are about as sweet as each other, maybe Warrior is a little sweeter, but for me this is a non-issue as I quite like sweet things, but others may not appreciate it. This could also be due to differences in ingredients per flavour as I don't know if chocolate flavours need less sugar than vanil- I mean salted caramel. All in all, I think I'm going to start buying Warror Whey powder over PhD.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok taste
Tastes ok, not my fave
5.0 out of 5 stars Protein shake.
Not much flavour if you use too much water so limit the quality of liquid you use. Great packaging and the ingredients and instructions are clear. Good value for money. Didn't have enough time to feel any benefits but will continue to use it as a food supplement and fingers crossed will notice the difference.
