This is the 2nd Grand Pitstop tyre repair kit I have got. The kits are comprehensive, as long as the repair is not too large or in the side wall of a tyre, this should work well. I have used this on several motorbike tyres and then used the tyres for 3000 + further miles, using the motorbike to its maximum speed, with no issues or failure. Broadly I have found these to be a permanent repair. I recently bought a replacement kit to repair a van tyre; find the hole, pull out the cause (have had nail, screw, drill bit, flint shard...), then ream the opening, insert a plug, pull to seat and cut off excess. Finding the hole took longer than repair. Probably 10 minutes at most to repair. This is a high quality kit, I would recommend having a kit ready at hand.

This is a simple use piece of kit that has not failed to work.Instructions are simple to follow and the gun and keys are sturdy, making the process easy.All puncture repairs have remained air tight so far.

I purchased this as an emergency repair to use on a car with no spare wheel. I had envisaged it being used as a quick fix by the roadside. I experimented with an old tyre and discovered that the kit works perfectly but that it would not be easy to use as I planned for the following reasons:-1] My car does not have a jack which means the wheel would have to be repaired on the car. I would not be able to do this in office work clothes.2] Passing the reamer through the steel bands in my car tyre took quite a lot of force not only to start the process but also to get past the second, wider, stage of the reamer.3] Passing the nozzle arrangement also required quite a lot of force.Threading the plug and discharging it worked extremely well and the final repair looked good.Summary .... the kit:• functions as expected allowing a mushroom shaped plug to be placed in a damaged tyre.• Is easy to use in the comfort of a garage.• May or may not get me out of trouble on the open road.• Is a temporary fix prior to a full vulcanised puncture repair.

Getting one of these plugs inside your tyre involves a few conflicting forces, which means it can break in several ways. First, it can break between the head and body of the plug as you try to retrieve it; second, it the body can break as the head stays but the body is stuck inside the insertion tube, and third, it can just stuck inside the tube and it pulls straight out the tyre - then you have to damage it by forcing it out. But, by being cautious on the withdrawal, it eventually works very well. It completely solved my flat tyre of my motorcycle and I haven't lost a single psi of pressure since putting it in. It also looks good when cut neatly and is almost impossible to even notice. Saved my tyre!

The plastic mushrooms things broke whilst being retracted. I had a mushroom style kit years ago and it was fine, so I know what I'm doing here. Also double checked a few videos too. The tool set that comes with the kit is great It would be ood if only the plastic/rubber composition was stronger. Went to Halfords where I bought a kit from for £9. Worked perfectly first time. This pitstop kit thing is being sent back pronto!

Ok, so I have used the other type of tire plugs in then past. They drive me nuts. Half the time I end up pulling the plug out two or three times before I get it to stay. They are very sticky and hard to get started. I used this on my wife's tire. Wow!!! Much easier and faster. It took longer to set it up then to fix the flat. Comes with everything you need minus a pump to fill the tire. I definitely recommend this product.
This thing is pretty awesome.
Worked like a champ. Quick and easy. Much easier than a normal kit. The plug has held without issue. The only con is the plugs appear proprietary but there’s plenty in the kit.
Best investment!!!
This has saved me so much time fixing flats. The conventional plugs kept falling out from the tire. Finally tried these and they hold so much better that the old school tire plugs.

Worked like a charm
Had my very first experience of fixing a flat tire. It was easy to use and it’s holding up very well. Did about a month ago. And I would say it’s a permanent fix. Kit has all you need and it took me 5 min to patch it. I drove right after fixing it.
