5.0 out of 5 stars Great gadget
Sturdy and so easy to use!
4.0 out of 5 stars Simple but effective
Bought for the obvious - built in strainer in teapots not ideal… this is easy to clean and can be used in a mug or pot. Good for gifts too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good
Nice large size, good quality, great value for money, easy to use and clean
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for fine tea!
Lovely for PG Loose Tea or with full tea leaves, easy to clean.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not completely closed
I loved these until I started choking on loose leaves, none of the rims are fully closed around the handle so there is a little leakage. Better for large leaf tea’sAnd can only fit 1/2 teaspoon in one half of the ballNice design but not functional
5.0 out of 5 stars Great shape and good filter size
We use these each day. Their spring loading is quite firm and they align when filling, meaning both halves come together nicely not allowing what you put in to escape. The filter size is good, meaning that the finest of tea leaves remain in the tea ball and not in the cup.We have used them for few months now and they remain in great condition. The only consideration is....Be careful how you store them as the tea ball metal netting will deform. They all do this and so we store ours upside down in a tea cup in the cupboard until needed, to protect the tea ball.Secondly, I use hibiscus leaves often, it can lead to a certain staining.I will place a tea ball in a weakened solution of bleach for a few hours and then THOROUGHLY rinse it many times, all stains have then gone.We use them for white teas, green teas, chopped ginger and hibiscus. Sometimes chamomile. They work great. These are wonderful, thick gauge metal and strong springs.Very much recommended.I hope that this helps you.
4.0 out of 5 stars Bit small but does the job
Used these with a few teas so far and their size is a demerit for larger leaf types, being small enough as to reduce the movement and ability to infuse to a satisfactory strength without giving it a good swish about. Smaller leafs works perfectly well by contrast, so only a passing niggle. Having more than one in the pack also has benefits as a single one is not particularly ideal for a large pot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great replacement for instant tea!
Loved to use tea granules as they are so much more healthier and cleaner that tea bags. But as they are now discontinued was in need of an alternative as find tea bags to be dirty and messy. People soak their clothes etc to get the nasty bit out so what does soaking a bag containing tea do? How many people may have handled a tea bag before soaking it in hot water??Putting loose tea in a diffuser seems to me much more hygenic and this divice works very well and am deilghted with it!
