5.0 out of 5 stars Improve absorption of vitamin D
I realised recently that I needed to take vitamin K in order to gain better absorption of my daily dose of vitamin D. This serves that purpose perfectly, and it’s vegan, which is great. They seem to be good value for money, although vitamin K generally is a more expensive vitamin, but a worthwhile one.
3.0 out of 5 stars Inconsistency in the claims for added ingredients
Feel Supreme Vitamin K2 MK7 arrives in a brown plastic bottle - there is no recycling mark printed on the bottle - so I don’t know if it is recyclable from home or not.Printed on the bottle is the recommended usage, ingredients and expiry date (06/25). Also printed on the bottle is a QR code that works, but the link does not provide any useful information. The ingredients are listed as brown rice flour, and vitamin K2 (dicalcium phosphate, menaquinone-7). It would be good that the only bulking agent is rice flour. Strange that Feel Supreme states, in their advert, that the ingredients include Micro Crystalline Cellulose (Bulking Agent), Di Calcium Phosphate (Bulking Agent), Silicon Dioxide (Anti-Caking Agent), Magnesium Stearate (Anti-Caking Agent). So I don’t know which is correct - and as they cannot both be correct - one statement must be misleading. There is also no information on the materials that make up the capsule.Vitamin K2 is part of the vitamin K family and research in humans has shown a number of benefits including the promotion of osteogenesis, prevention of arterial calcification, relief of menopausal symptoms, enhancement of mitochondrial energy release, and its protective effects on the liver and nerves. The most bioactive is MK-4 but this is not well absorbed so MK-7 is used. The recommended daily intake remains uncertain but research has shown positive effects in studies using 45 micrograms - 180 micrograms. This preparation has 100 micrograms. As vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin it would be best to take this preparation with food as it does not contain any MCT’s in the preparation. The current price is £17.00 for a two months supply (60 capsules)Overall as I am uncertain about the ingredients in this capsule I would not buy it (I may if Feel Supreme clarified it - and if so I would update this review). Currently, I would look for a vegetarian soft gel (increases bioavailability) containing some olive oil - and here is one available on Bolo at a similar price https://www.Bolo.co.uk/Healthy-Origins-Vegetarian-Softgels-Laboratory/dp/B09YD1XDWY/ref=sr_1_33?crid=33TLNFVXO5G4I&keywords=vitamin%2BK2&qid=1701517373&s=drugstore&sprefix=vitamin%2Bk2%2Cdrugstore%2C147&sr=1-33&th=1
4.0 out of 5 stars This is a better product.
Using Vitamin K2 MK-7 (menaquinone) as opposed-to MK-4 or MK-9 that you find in some other K2 supplements, is mainly due-to the fact that MK-7 stays in the body for considerably longer than the other derivatives. As I've been in the industry for decades, I'll say that 100mcg (micrograms) is a good amount amount of K2, but is a small amount when filling into a capsule, and if you are going-to fill that capsule with anything; then brown rice flour is good in this instance. But you should also take this with Vitamin D3, (standard or vegan) but then I think that you should take at-least some Vitamin D3 irrespective of any factor, whether it be though food, or better still; through food.K2 is there to assist with bone maintenance, but it's also there to assist with blood maintenance too, so it's very, very, very important to check with your medical practitioner that you don't have any blood clotting/blood-viscosity issues prior-to consuming 'any' form/derivative of any type of Vitamin K supplement; but if you're already on anti-coagulants, (Warfarin) then you'll know not to use Vitamin K. I like what this company is doing here, as this product is about as simple as you can make a supplement. As I say, mix with D3 if you can, and give this simplest K2, (that's also vegan safe) a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good packaging and easy to swallow
I needed to purchase some more K2 Vitamins and this suggestion came up on Bolo.I was advised by a medical friend that a lot of people are deficient in Vitamin D and when taking a D3 supplement, the best way to get that Calcium to the places it’s needed is by taking it in conjunction with K2.There are so many great pieces written on line about this and I’ve been a regular user for several years.I like this particular brand / product with its anti tamper seal on the lid when it arrived, labelling is clear and this is a 60 day, 1 capsule a day quantity, easy to swallow, so I have a couple of months supply and everything looks great.
3.0 out of 5 stars Question over the manufacturing - UPDATED
My concern is whether these are really made in the UK. Investigating the address of their "plant" it looks like a modest sized office so how do we know they aren't importing a VAT of tablets from some unknown place in China and putting them in bottles in an upstairs room and calling that manufacturing. After sending two emails to the company (both of which received replies), it turns out they do not make the product itself but put it in capsules and then put the capsules in bottles. They would not tell me where the product comes from. This confirms my suspicions but at least they gave honest answers and to be fair the same practice could well be followed by the vast array of supplements listed on Bolo.
