    A champion sollution to better reception during the colder, darker months of a national state of emergency f you don’t want to leave the main station vamping off the mains electricity bill when youare only monitoring. I am a Fully licensed Radio Amateur and thus, through use and experimentation, know what I'm talking about. I had to pass a 12 words a minute Morse test… What did you have to do?

    My only gripe would be about the nature of the item which I knew when I brought it and that is due to it being so rigid it’s liable to damage therefore I recommend removing the antenna until the radio is needed to limit the likely hood of damage to the radio and or antenna in transit, as far as performance and quality goes it’s a great bit of kit and definitely a talking point amongst friends and fellow radio enthusiasts. I do recommend getting one just be careful if you do

    Wish I had read the reviews before buying this trash. As others have stated the telescopic part rattles like crazy when extended i.e. it’s a lose fit at the bottom sections. The short flexible whip also wont fit into the section you screw it into as the knurlling is too thick. How this got on Bolo in the first place just goes to show that Bolo have no standards at all.

    This really is an outstanding antenna, I used on a baofeng and an Anytone and would say it gave outstanding reception on both, it’s a long antenna, has a bit of weight also but don’t let that put you off, it oozes quality, for £14.99 you cannot go wrong, I’m a happy Ham - M7PJD

    The antenna is ok too a certain extent. The smaller antenna won't screw onto the bottom part of the antenna. So it's just the longer antenna that can be used. Not the smaller one.
