The screws screw and the brackets bracket. No issues. The brackets have a protective film cover on the right side which is cool if you'll have them somewhere visible. The holes have that dent around them so the screw heads don't stick out.

We assembled some flat pack display wall cabinets, but I was worried about how to attach them to the wall. We ended up choosing to attach them to the top of some low level bookcases, as they were the same colour and width. We thought we'd try these brackets. They were fab! They arrived with protective plastic strips on the shiny side, so there were no scratches. They seemed very sturdy indeed. I thought we'd need 3 for each cupboard, but two sufficed as they held so strongly.

These are made of stainless steel, at least, they do not go rusty when exposed to moisture, and they are non magnetic. There is an odd looking surface one side, this is a protective plastic, peel off coating, beneath is a polished finish. The screws are of a perfectly acceptable quality.

Would be more accuratly described as stainless steel banana brackets as every one was bent, I did need them for a fairly urgent job so straightened in a vice, othewise would have returned them. Obviously zero quality control at manufacturers.
