Science behind this product:Alpha Arbutin has a similar structure as tyrosine (a nonessential amino acid that binds with tyrosinase to catalyze melanin synthesis). Due to its perfect affinity for active sites of tyrosinase Alpha Arbutin blocks tyrosine. It is thereby inhibiting melanin production without affecting cell viability, unlike Kojic Acid, which decreases tyrosine production and can be cytotoxic. Alpha Arbutin present in this serum has a very low IC50 value (IC50 is a measure of the potency of the compound in inhibiting a biochemical function. Low value means even less concentration of active is effective and more potent). It is scientifically proven to show effects even at lower concentrations. Also, every Arbutin is not the same. Beta Arbutin, commonly used in Arbutin serums, is cheap and less effective. According to the AAD, when you stop what is causing dark spots and protect your skin from damage by UV rays, then fading is effective and fast. This serum exhibits both antipigmentation and antitanning after UV exposure, resulting in an even bright skin tone. However, it is not meant for use as a fairness treatment or sunblock.

Amazing product! I have melasma on my upper lip and chin, after 3 weeks of use you can hardly see it now, also my freckles on my face have lightened significantly, my skin looks more smooth and I literally love it! Ordered another one for when this runs out. It’s magic 😍

I found this serum to be abit thicker than the vitamin c however it dries very quickly. After using it daily for a month, I feel it has helped somewhat in brightening my skin and minimising hyperpigmentation. Overall, I do feel it works with long time use paired with vit c.

Bolo's Packaging is always funny, a tinny bottle with big package but it's overall good to support the bottle. Bottle came good condition. I'm a beginner for alpha arbutin so waiting for the results. It's consistency is good blend into the skin nicely with no smell. Didn't see any negatives after using it on my combination skin.

Brought this product, thinking it would make my face lighte, like it says and lighten the spot Mark's on my check, generally make me look a little brighter.Been using for a month and nothing, it's not done anything. My spot Mark's are still visible, still dark circles around the eyes.I hve medium beige skin prehaps dosnt work in asian/indian skin tone, as it did not work for me.

Was skeptical but thought I’d give it a try after googling different products. My top lip was becoming dark after waxing for so long and this has helped, it’s definitely lighter. I haven’t been using daily religiously, just every other day and maybe a few days in a row occasionally but it really is lighter now. I’ve been using it about 3/4 weeks now
Worked great along with 30+ mineral sunscreen.
Made a HUGE noticeable difference and i dint even use it everyday. I LOVE the sun and nownthat I'm 43 my pigmentation is very sensitive. So this Spring/Summer i used this after washing my face and used a 30+ SPF sunscreen with Zinc Oxide. With this product and the zinc i saw very dramatic beneficial results. Very happy. Product amount lasts all summer and caused zero irritating or bother. Will 100% purchase again.
Skin maintenance
Product works as I have used this before, one must be patient when using these types of products. No such thing using this or these products for 2 weeks and expect to see a new you. Again patience and following the instructions is in your best interests.
Great for pigmentation
It is a must try serum. Works so well and so fast, it is great for pigmentation you can start seeing changes within a week. I would suggest using it only at night after cleansing and toner. It has a very light texture and also moisturizes your skin. 2-3 drops are enough. It has a little chemical smell but not strong. It is worth buying. 👍
