I was pleasantly surprised by these lights. I’d been looking for a set of plug in ball lights for a while and these were a really good price so I wasn’t sure what they’d be like quality-wise. The balls themselves are sturdy and good quality, you can unscrew the plug so you can reach the cord behind furniture and then plug it in (v handy), and finally there’s a little switch on the cord so you don’t have to switch off the lights at the plug. The lighting this set provides is really ambient and creates a lovely glow. Would highly recommend!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice lights, annoying power supply + workaround
These lights are pretty and seem reliable (I have two sets, and no reliability issues so far with either). But as others have said in reviews, the power cable is very short. If they are hung at height you will likely need an extension. They are powered through a 2-pin plug that connects to a standard 3-pin wall socket plug. Unfortunately this is not a standard 2-pin connector as used by some outdoor lights and I could not find an extension. A 3-pin extension will work fine but are a bit bulky and ugly high up a wall if it’s somewhere difficult to conceal. The workaround I eventually used was to cut the power cable between the 2-pin connector and the first light, and add an extra length of 0.75mm gauge wire. (This is fiddly because I had to cut the sheath between the two wires and they are hard to strip because they are such narrow gauge. Even the smallest setting in my wire strippers was too big.) I used crimp connectors and secured them with heat shrink tubing and electrical tape, then hid the extension section behind painted cable trunking. Some effort involved, but it worked.

The lights are no where near the colours shown. I always allow a slight colour difference with anything I purchase due to the photo. The lights are thin cotton wrapped around a clear dome and project hardly any colour. They also do not have all the colours as advertised. There were no darker lights. They only contained very pale blue, pink and white. The lead from the last ball to the plug is very short, bulky and obtrusive. Very disappointing. Do waste your money.ADDITION to the above review.The seller sent me another set of lights, not at my request, to replace the damaged ones! They obviously did not read through my first review with interest. I did not state anywhere in my review the lights were damaged! The 2nd set were identical to the first. I can only redirect to you my first review. I now have 2 unwanted sets of lights. I would return the 2nd set the sellar sent but why should I have to go to the effort to do so. Please do not send me anymore lights.

This is a great quality set of lights, my second purchase thanks to the special offer price on at the moment. Ready assembled and easier to set up with UK plug option. My only suggestion to enhance this product is there is a bit more allowance between the cord and the lights, as the result is the lights will need to be placed very close to the power supply. Great gift idea too.I’ve read some of the other reviews around the faulty wiring, both the sets I have purchased were the UK plug version, but they have a two pin adapter from the lights that is plugged and secured into the three pin plug. Hoping this change in the design fares better!

These lights are gorgeous and perfect for my little one’s room; however, they arrived in a damaged box, one of the lights had came away from the little ball, with no means of attaching again. All seen in the pictures.It doesn’t affect the overall working aspect of the lights, but I’m disappointed at the damage. Not to mention, I can find no way to contact the initial seller (maybe I’m silly?)
