5.0 out of 5 stars Very good

Very good, surprisingly low noise while very efficient. Looks visually stunning too. The app works excellent and is very useful. I love the automatic fan speed mode and the air quality monitoring. The only worrying thing is that nobody seems to have any stock of the replacement filter for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the information you get in the app

I bought an air purifier having moved into a flat near a busy road because I'm conscious that a lot more pollutants will enter my home. This air purifier lets me know exactly what's going on with the air quality, quickly filters out pollutants and let's me see a history of what's been going on. It's relatively inexpensive AND the app allows me to control when it goes on and off. In just hope now that BlueAir will bring it a smaller version for my bedrooms which is also app connected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Generally very pleased and would probably recommend but there are niggles Blueair should sort out.

I purchase the Blueair 3250i air filter on the recommendation of rave reviews across the internet, including Bolo. There are so many products out there it is hard to choose which unless you go by reviews or personal recommendation. The product arrived a little sooner than expected in the manufacturers standard box. I would have expected it to be in a stout box but never mind. It is bigger than I expected but quite light. A discreet handle would be a useful feature if you are moving it room to room.Getting started was a breeze. Just plug it in, put it on Auto and let it get on with it. It is so quiet in operation you have to put your hand over it to check something is happening. The Blueair app also was a doddle to install (I used Android) but why you have to create an account and login with Blueair beats me and is a minus point. Anyway it all connected fine and you can setup a time schedule from the app and tell it to switch off if you are out.Now for the moans! There is a light on the front which changes colour according to the pollution. As far as I can tell I think it only responds to the 2.5 size particles. If there are larger particles which of course it filters, I have no idea how you know their level. The Blueair web site is remarkably uninformative on technical aspects and you really have to hunt for information. In fact most Google searches just take you to an FAQ page and you hunt from there. In fact the whole Blueair website is oriented to selling you their products and not much else. I know the 3250i is relatively recent but the website gives the impression they haven't really caught up with it either. Certainly the Support pages are very thin but then for most people it just works and you let it get on with it. A technophobe like me wants to know more! The app itself is reasonable intuitive but ergonomics could be better and more information provided. For example the chart of pollution over time could also show when the unit was on standby for example or give you the fan speed at the time. It gives the impression that the unit never stops.Apart from setting schedules and allowing the 3250i to go into standby when you are out I would say the app is otherwise useless. The option to track external pollution would appear to be nice until you realise monitoring stations could be many tens of miles away so whatever they say would not apply to you - (I'm talking about the UK).Their menu option to go to Shop would be useful if it helped you buy replacement filters but it just tries to sell you more units! Why have it as a menu option? Actually you try and find a source for replacement filters - they are not common. How does the unit work on smells etc? My cooking is fairly basic but I think it is helping, which is the reason I got it. Also (and I can't prove it) I do think the air in the kitchen where it is, does seem fresher - more like a nice autumn morning. I just would like more information from it in some way to tell me it is doing a useful job!Would I recommend it? In the title I said "probably". Its up to you and do read other reviews. I just don't know what I'd get instead and I probably need a few more months of use to come up with a better answer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected

Easy to set up and impressed by the night mode function - it is incredibly quiet. Tried in a few areas of the house and air quality noticeably improves in the area you put it. Makes a huge difference overnight in a stuffy room, has improved my breathing whilst asleep (which I track using an oura ring). Overall very impressed by the product and would reccomend to anyone with air quality issues in their home

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective at cleaning the air in your home

    w. · 11 September 2024

I have lung disease & like many people house dust, pollen & other air particles affect my breathing. When I researched air purifiers, this one had great reviews & they weren’t wrong. After one day, I noticed how much cleaner the air felt. After 3 months of use, I use my inhaler less & don’t cough up half as much filthy gunk as previously. Nice!As I have it close to my bed, I’m happy to say I don’t hear it at all until the fans kick in when it detects pollution. Most of the time it sits silently with the blue light on & you forget it’s there. The other night my neighbours had a barbecue and even before I smelt the smoke the blue light changed colour & the fan kicked in. I suspect they burnt the sausages but the smoke soon cleared thanks to my trusty Blueair. It really is quick off the ball & you don’t need to do anything except enjoy the clean air.I notice the house gets a lot less dust in now too, even though the Blueair is only in my bedroom. I bought the Blue Max 3250i which says does up to 48m square & I find that works great for my small 2 bed bungalow. I haven’t changed filters yet, so i don’t know how long they will last. But so far, i’m very happy with it. For 4 years I lived with a much cheaper brand but I would never go back. This is much, much more effective. I love my BlueAir.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but Awesome

    M. · 17 November 2024

It's worth the price. It's awesome being able to control it from your phone, and monitor the air quality insdie your home. The app even lets you know the air quality wherever you are. I love it.

    Doesn’t eliminate any smell

    F. · 1 November 2024

It doesn’t work, it doesn’t detect any smell in the room and consequently doesn’t turn on in automatic mode. I’m returning it because that’s the only reason I got it, to get rid of smells.
