Brought this to replace my old cheap air purifier and this works so much better. I dont know how people can complain about not knowing what setting its on as it lights up when you press the fan button and then you press again to change. No lights on when it's working so it's great to use in the bedroom. Very quiet operation on the lowest setting. Normal setting is still pretty quiet and can be left on if your not a light sleeper. High speed is pretty loud but that expected and it really sucks/blows on this setting and clears any smells out the room within an hour. I love the outside "pre filter" as this and be removed and washed saving you having to change the main filter so often. Looks very stylish too. I brought this for the bedroom but will be buying another for the living room. I like how it doesn't turn itself off after a set amount of time like my old one and can leave it on 24/7.

This air purifier looks very modern and smart. It’s decent size, light enough to lift should you need to move it, and very quiet. It can be heard on the high setting, but not annoyingly so. An improvement in air quality was obvious within minutes of turning it on.The outer cover is washable, and replaceable if necessary. The controls are very easy to use. The only downside in my opinion is the lack of any carry or grip handle. That’s ok if you are fully able bodied, but someone with arthritic hands, or a weak grip, would probably be unable to move if. This seems to be commonly lacking for dedicated air purifiers, whereas combined dehumidifier/air purifiers generally have some form of handle/grips. I imagine the lack of grip is to encourage people to buy one for each room.Overall, pleased with this item and would recommend.

This is a lovely air purifier - it has three levels, from high (which is noisy) medium and low (which is whisper quiet). It's a genreally great design. The only thing I don't like about though is the weird 'upside down' plug arrangement, but overall, I'm glad I purchased it, and would definately buy another in the future.

It is fantastic and have bought two now. I move them round my flat and they work quickly and well. The only drawback is that they slightly cool the air which is wonderful in the summer but I do use them less often in the winter. They are on 24/7 in the summer.The air feels REALLY healthy. (I have two dogs and they completely get rid of odors). For the price they seem by far the best option.

This is great value for money and does the job well. I’m a smoker but I don’t want to sit in a smoke filled room. This has been game changing. It doesn’t totally filter the smell but cuts it down a lot

I don’t know if anyone had the same issue as I had. I found the buttons not very sensitive. Sometimes I had to press multiple times to turn the machine on or off or change fan speed. I contacted the seller and got a replacement but it’s still the same. So I decided to return it :( I did like the style and quietness. However there’s no way to know how good the air quality is after running it for some time as there’s no indicator on Blueair Blue Pure 511.
Easy Breathing & Clean Air
Unit was slightly larger than expected, but still small enough to be discrete. Attractive design. Basic, no frills model that does a terrific job. It is completely silent on lowest and very quiet on higher fan speeds. No annoying light stays on to show the unit is operating. It does an excellent job in our primary bedroom. Highly recommend.

My Blue Heeler sleeps with me. I’m allergic to dog dander. I’ve relied on Reactine and steroid eye drops (itchiness). Have not used either since getting this.Ensure you close your bedroom door and try to put it in a central spot. Low and med setting are very quiet. High setting a little too loud. I use med and it works great.Filters are a good price as well, something you need to consider when buying a purifier. This company has 3 different purpose filters you can get. Machine comes with the standard filter.Also watch for the micron filtering rating. This one goes down to 0.1 micron. Forget the ones that only go to 0.3 microns as that is to big of an air particle for good clean air.
