Was dubious that a 1U rack mount Amp could reproduce the power and quality. Proved wrong. Is well built and sounds good at an affordable price. Lighter than most other double size amps I have used before. Comes with two power cables, one with a uk plug one with a euro plug. Good product.

Everything about this little amp is really great potential in its value, however, one issue that is quite major in my opinion, is the Speakon output connections at the back; you have to fiddle with the plug of each channel to make the connection. Once you do the fiddling you can have a good long session without it cutting out but dare to touch one of them and you lose sound instantly.NOT useful for anything live at all - do not ruin your gig with this amp.At home it's fine as my speaker stacks and amps tend to remain in situ, but never would I even attempt using this at an event! And I heartily recommend no one else does either, your clients will all want refunds.I'd guess at poor soldering inside the socket as my cables are brand new and even have been opened up and checked and tested elsewhere and found to be in perfect working order so it's definitely the sockets of the amp and not my cables.A second minor issue with it is the loud whining noise it makes when you turn it off. Utterly unprofessional. And frankly quite unnerving when my expensive speakers are plugged into it.I threw the packaging away too soon to return it and I also doubt they'd send me a new one anyway, as is the way with cheap technology these days, so I'm not even going to ask them. But rest assured I won't be buying this brand again, nor any other brand from this seller if this is the quality that they are happy to continue selling and putting their name to.This speaks volumes (scuse the pun) about all their other products they sell. Avoid.It may be cheap and cheerful (cheapest on Bolo at the time), but honestly, spend a bit more and get something more reliable. Especially if this is for your business.

*** Updated: o3-Apr-2o21 ***I managed to sort the connection problems described below and now have a stable rig containing 2 × VDA5oos feeding 4 seperate speaker enclosures. I'd like to thank the retailer, EkectroMarket for their support in achieving this. IMHO, after sales customer service is really important and I can certainly vouch for ElectroMarket in this respect. They really do know how to look after their customers, above and beyond the initial sale. I was very impressed and therefore highly recommend their products and services.*** Updated: o2-Mar-2o21 ***To be clear, I ordered and received the 5ooW model, which doesn't seem to be available any more and I can't write a review (?). So assuming that this 1,oooW model is like the VDA5oo (which it is, given that the two models share the same product documentation), I hope this helps.This is a no nonsense, 2 × 25oW Class D power amp: 2 × inputs (6.35mm jack[1]/XLR), 2 × volume controls and 2 × "NL-4" speakon outputs; simple as ~ just make sure you use genuine Neutrik NL4FX speaker connectors [2], as the VDA5oo refuses to entertain anything less ~ at least mine won't.Notes:[1]: XLR works best. Mono 6.35mm jack is okay. Yet to try balanced TRS 6.35mm jack.[2] The amplifier's SpeakOn outputs are specified as "NL-4" (4-pole for "4 pin" speakers), so I assumed that 2-pole connectors e.g., NL2FX, would work just as well ~ as long as they are genuine Neutrik SpeakOns. However, this does not seem to be the case. 2-pole connectors cause intermittent problems (drop outs), whilst 4-pole (NL4FX) connectors (wired as 2-pole) work perfectly.

The speakon outputs do not have metal clips, so speakon cables don't lock in. No sound unless you hold the speakons in or gaffer tape them. Shame, as otherwise it's a good amp.

Die Endstufe ist zwar sehr preiswert, jedoch die die Leistungsangaben ein echter Witz. Ich wollte den Amp nur für meine Hochtöner einsetzen und hätte 2 x 100w RMS benötigt. Leider kann der Amp diese Leistung nicht reproduzieren, was aufgrund der verwendeten elektronischen Bauteile auch nicht verwundert. Im niedrigen Leistungsbereich 25-50w ist das Verhalten jedoch akteptabel.Was jedoch sehr positiv zu bewerten ist, der Amp wurde ohne Probleme zurückgenommen und zügig die Rückerstattung veranlasst. So gesehen gebe ich volle Punktzahl für den Service aber leider nicht für das Produkt.

Ich bin noch nie so verar...t worden!Das die angegebenen 1000W (2x 500W) eher nicht ganz erreicht werden, war mir klar.Aber dass ich "Luft in Stahlblech-Hülle" kaufe ist schon ein starkes Stück!Wo/was hier der 3-Band-Equalizer sein soll erschließt sich mir nicht.Habe den aber auch nicht wirklich vermisst, da es eine PA-Endstufe sein sollte.Ich hatte anderen Bewertungen entnommen, dass es mit den Lautsprecher-Anschlüssen Kontaktprobleme gibt und dies nicht als dramatisch eingeschätzt.Mein geliefertes Gerät hatte auch genau diesen Fehler auf einem Kanal.(Der Anschluss des anderen Kanals war aber auch grenzwertig.)Okay, so was lässt sich wechseln...Als ich aber das Gerät geöffnet hatte (siehe Foto) musste ich erst mal die Herztabletten suchen.Umbaute Luft...Ich habe erst mal die Anschlüsse als kleinstes Problem eingestuft und mit Messungen (alle Werte gerundet) begonnen:(1)Der Verstärker schafft an 4 Ohm (Messwiderstand) 2x 64W bis Clip-Anzeige leuchtet.(An 8 Ohm sind es 2x 40W)Reine Sinus-Messung, im Bereich unter 60Hz deutlich abfallend.Standard-Musiksignal ergibt gemittelt (Speicherintervall 1 Sek.) 2x90W an 4 Ohm und 2x 62W an 8 Ohm.Ein "Impulsspitzenleistung" (die ja niemandem etwas nützt) wird bei der Bestückung der Leiterplatte (Elko-Größe) auch nicht über 120W kommen.Wie man da auf 1000W als Werbeangabe kommt, ist mir absolut unklar und eine bodenlose Frechheit und Irreführung!(2)Das Gerät besitzt KEINE Begrenzer!Die Clip-LED sagt lediglich, dass ab hier das Signal völlig verzerrt wird.Und selbst beim Überfahren der Grenze werden es durch die Schaltungs-Konfiguration nicht mehr als 2x 100W an 4 Ohm (bei scheußlichstem Klang).(3)Die beiden Lüfter laufen ständig und sind NICHT temperatur-gesteuert.Sie blasen auch einfach Luft ins Gehäuse und nicht auf ein bestimmtest Bauelement.Eigentlich werden sie auch nicht gebraucht.Wir reden hier über eine max. Verlustleistung von 20W.(4)Das es KEINEN 3-Band-Equalizer gibt, hatte ich schon erwähnt.Wer also das "Ding" verwenden will, braucht eine Quelle mit Klangregler.Fazit: Geht nach etwas Bastelei als Hintergrund-Verstärker (aber da gibt es kleinere/preiswertere).Sonst: Lasst die Finger davon!
