5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Sound
I have the M-Audio BX8 D3 monitors but after renovating my studio I found they were too large for the area I had. I'm very meticulous when it comes to studio sound and spent a couple of weeks contemplating some new ones.Being a big M-Audio fan (Midi Keyboards & External Soundcard) I arrived at the decision to go for the BX4 4.5 monitor speakers. Having mastered finished tracks on the BX8 D3 I was curious to see how the Cubase projects of finished master tracks sounded like through the BX4 speakers - if truth be told I was amazed at the almost identical sound I was getting through the BX4 in comparison to the BX8 speakers. In fact, the mastering was that close you could not tell the difference - maybe the odd tweak here and there but I'd say the track through the BX4 speakers was 99.5% finished and ready for the club!Great budget speakers and pack an absolutely fantastic punch to your production. I've had numerous plays on BBC Radio 1 all mastered through the BX8 D3 but I'm pretty sure I'll have plenty more using these new BX4 4.5 speakers.Would I recommend: 100%
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality portable speakers
I'm not usually one to write reviews but these are worth the time. I house sit for a friend a few times a year and because I love good quality sound I usually end up carting my amplifier, subwoofer and speakers there and back each time. I decided this time to treat myself to some portable speakers and I'm so glad I did, these are well worth the money. Obviously not as good as a subwoofer setup but amazing quality audio for the size, and can be turned up very loud without distortion. Bluetooth connection is brilliant, will be using these a lot more than I thought I would, out in the garden at home etc.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good budget studio monitors.
Previously had Presonus Eris 3.5 (2nd Gen). I think that these M-Audio BX3 3.5" Studio Monitors are superior and have a better all round sound. I like the design and they look good. For the price I thoroughly recommend them.
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT units
These are a nice pair of active speakers with enough depth and power to use in a small or medium sized room. They are a doddle to set up and provide a quick and easy way to enjoy music whilst working or chilling. The Bass and Treble adjustment + or - 6 dB allows some control on depth and range of output. They are not super HiFi but they are excellent value for money for the sound quality they do deliver.
5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly amazing speakers
Really good bass if you like electronic such as garage, house, jungle etc. Use them to DJ. Recommend turning up the highs on the back of the speaker.
5.0 out of 5 stars M-Audio BX3 120W
Studio Monitors. They are perfect for a small and modest Home Studio for music production. I choose them because of their dimensions - they are small. But they are very good quality per price. I use them to check how my music will sound in speakers. I still mainly use Studio Headphones. They have a flat answer in frequency. They are perfect for what they are made. If you buy them and complain could be because you didn't have done your homework.Yes, they do not have 'deep bass '. Because they are for a different purpose and they are small. The lowest frequency they can play is around of 70 Hertz. For 'booming' bass you may want a 20 Hertz which those small speakers can not fizicaly afford.Still, when I listen to others people music, I use a special beautiful piece of Open Source software to control the sounds: 'easyeffects' for pipewire; I don't use Pulse Audio (I replaced with pipewire).I want to mention that I use mainly Linux (Manjaro) and Open Source software.
3.0 out of 5 stars Okay.
You can get a decent sound out of this but nothing special, not very loud but loud enough for a bedroom
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast delivery and very good value for money.

Best budget studio monitor
I'm not going to lie, I bought these speakers after listening to a dozen YouTube videos whose titles began with "Best budget studio monitor". Well, I have to say that I don't regret my purchase at all!The sound is really good! Even when you turn up the sound a lot, it doesn't distort at all. The bass is very well pronounced and well balanced with the rest of the sound! Honestly not disappointed.(For those wondering, i use it with the Motu M2 audio interface)

Pretty Decent Monitors!
OK, keep your expectations in check here. These are inexpensive nearfield monitors, and I wouldn't recommend them for a real project studio or above (as in if you're recording a band, doing mastering, etc.). But for my "Studio C" - used for product development, engineering, testing, and etc., they are just fine, perhaps for the simple reason that I didn't have space for larger monitors in this location. Nonetheless, sound quality is very good, as is imaging, and they actually had too much bass in the center EQ position (on the back) - having to reduce the bass on such tiny woofers was surprising. I also boosted the treble a little, which suits my ears. Anyway, nice monitors for the price. If you need larger nearfield monitors, I would consider the next models up in this line. For "real" monitors, though, you're looking at many times the price, and such may be required (I use JBLs, Yamahas, and Tannoys for this case - again a lot more bucks involved). But for the price of a decent PC-class speaker set, you could do much worse than the BX4s. I know, I've tried.BTW - nicely packaged! Double boxed, great packing, and the required cables are included.
