Patterned surface to the top and bottom. It is made from sturdy plastic, making it safe and durable for use. Easy-grip and non-slip handles allow you to carry it easily. Unlike wood trays which may absorb water and, our trays are easy to clean and dry. Great for serving coffee, tea, water, drinks, snacks, and any food. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Work very well, not too large as overall measurements include the sloping side handles, so the flat usuable area is slightly smaller than expected - however still perfectly usable for a dinner plate and one or two mugs / glasses. Some might consider them a bit too lightweight as they do tend to flex if you casually pick a loaded tray up, which could be disaterous if not for the non-stick surface. Overall good for the price and VERY prompt delivery
